With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

Scouting Report: Montana State

Last night, Montana State visited Boise State.

First four minutes: Boise State is tentative and "planted", Montana State looks like a fine cross between a 3-point contest and WWE, score somewhat even.

First sign of a full-court press by Boise, MSU folds.

Halftime: Boise State 54, Montana State 28.

From there, Boise coasted to a 94-69 win.

"Positives"

Starting five has three kids who can hit from outside.

6'10" post actually has a quick move or two.

"Scrappy" on those nights where the refs let them scrap.

"Negatives"

A little motion leaves them dazed and confused.

Bench? They could use a stinkin' bench, especially if the starters are going to engage in as much clutch-n-grab as they did.

Athleticism: none. Big guy goes up for a dunk and gets stuffed by a lad 5 inches shorter. Well, give them credit for use of forearms and fingers; the Bobcats have the makings of a decent wrestling squad.

Several Bobcat fans in front of me- one approaches friends at halftime and says "worst 1-A team ever." Never mind the label error, the lad obviously missed the fact that the Cats beat Idaho. Idaho State beat Idaho by 21 last night. Idaho is in a world of ****. Montana State is just barely better.

The warning: the right refs + lack of motivated opposition + shooter's chance = disaster for the wrong team at the wrong time. It's not wise to lose to this bunch.

MSU is really down this year.

The key for PSU will be beating them on the road. We play well at the Stott and I have no doubt that we'll take care of business when MSU comes to town. We'll need to count on getting a road win in Bozeman this year to keep us in hopes of a BSC tourney spot...
