Making $130k a year. Can be fired if he doesn't win 4 games next season, or 6 in 2014.

The biggest reason I have supported the rehiring of Jody Sears is that the guy only made $32,000 last year. That is an insult for any head coach... At any level other than volunteer work. $16 an hour about?!? A college coach should make more than a high school teacher. But Sears didn't last year. Sad. Got to pay the coaches for their time and effort. Win or lose. John L. Smith made more than double what Sears made last year (I am only talking about from Weber State. Not other positions). The administration is probably ashamed of how much they paid Sears last year that they felt they had to resign him and give him a better contract. I don't blame them.

Not saying you are incorrect but $32,000 does contradict what the article says:
"As the interim coach in 2012, Sears worked under a contract paying $100,000 per year, prorated from May through December 31, when it was due to expire."
Prorated that would be around $60-$70K.

It's gonna be a tough year to even get 4 wins, brutal schedule thsi year, the hardest I have seen in years.

uh no he did not make 32k last yr. utahsright isn't always accurate and it certainly is not updated every week (which is the actual problem). plus the 32k would reflect total benefits received not just salarly. so if he made 32k it was more like 15-20k in salary?

Geez! If I had to win four games on your schedule, I'd be REALLY nervous.
Brutal schedule!! How much do you make on the Utah and Utah State games?
Good Luke Jody
