This one may be a lot like the game Monday. The diff. might be that we will be deeper into the preparation for USU. You may see a few new looks on defense. On the other hand, you might just see basic O and D, in an effort to not show anything to USU. :twocents:

Biggest different between this game and Monday's will be the back up PG. Wheelwright will be gone on Friday, and Richardson will be back and ready to go. I'm excited to see Richardson's progress. We all know he has a lot of potential and is an extremely hard working kid. So, things should be looking up for Jordan. Nonetheless, I'm thinking Weber practices a bunch of set plays. There really isn't much the Cats can hide from USU since they both basically run the same stuff.

Had a chance to talk to a member of our team about this one. He said that their tallest, available player, is 6-5 and that they lost to Westminster, a NAIA team, by 35. I have a feeling this one will be over pretty quick.

Actually they lost to Westmonster 100-52 which is a 48 point loss. http://www.westminstergriffins.com/news/2011/11/4/MBB_1104110320.aspx?path=mbball" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Good hell this team sucks!

I was told by some people in the athletic dept. that this New Mexico team is the worst team that will visit the Dee all year. Should be a sleeper by half time. :yikes:

letz go for a school record

Most FG's in a single game: 55 against Chaminade 1975
Most FG attempts in a single game: 115 against Idaho State 1966
Most Points scored in a single game: 128 against Chaminade 1975

109-50. At least two records broken, largest win (59 points) and most 3 pointers made (17). Brown played so Wheelwright will redshirt.

I knew it was gonna be bad, but not by 59 effing points. I was a bit surprised that Randy let Weber run the floor in the final few minutes.

The guys can't get cocky, that team is horrible and lost by 48 to Westminster. Granted Westminster probably played their starters the whole game to try to get to 100 points. We pulled Lillard and the starters early in the 2nd half and I was laughing to myself that putting our worst players out there is a squad that would still probably be in the top 3 in the Big Sky.

Oh and Mook is a BOSS!

My observations

1. Mook is A BEAST

2. We have too many 3 point threats to guard.

3. Richardson's shot has improved

4. Hajek is HUGE

5. Tresnak is a great defensive threat.

6. WE LOOKED GOOD.

BEAT USU

its basically a second exhibition game. its about the team doing/learning what it needs to do in a game setting before we start playing real games.

it took a rahe team 15 yrs to break the 3 pt record, it took another rahe team only 2 yrs to break it again + 1! in an exhibition game which does count, a rahe team hit 19-26 3's a couple years ago. that was insane shooting and not much different than tonight.

4,882 attendance tells us that is probably pretty close to our season tkts. unless anyone says it was a decent crowd showing? if this is accurate, and the team plays really well we could see a nice increase in attendance average. more season tkts + more students we can hope + nba lockout + the team playing well could = schooling last yr's average.

last year the single game low was the first game, Colorado Christian: 3,919. so most likely our season tkts have seen a good increase. 2009-10 the single game low was Western State: 3,354. i know when i ordered my family pass season tkts it looked like most of them were sold.
