I didn't see this one coming. I wonder what is going on?

I know that he had pro offers in Spain last year, but decided to return for his degree. Now he has graduated, he may have decided to return home or at least explore his options. It could also relate to who we have coming in. At any rate, he is a good kid and I wish him the best.

i thot he played fresh yr in LA then 2 soph seasons in ogden. i fink he has 3 yrs eligibility remaining if uses a redshirt. so its not a bad time to leave but i figured him and jones together could have been great for next 2 seasons.

I think that is a big loss. Maybe he thinks he can bounce up to a bigger conference. Probably had someone in his ear and a team lined up. Not supposed to work that way but it is happening all over. Porter should be happy as he might get more playing time. The transfer portal along with the NIL is ruining college basketball. Player loyalty and watching freshman players develop and graduate from the same school will be a thing of the past. Not as much fun to route against different teams when their roster turns over every year. Hoping college basketball does not become unwatchable like the NBA is most of the time.

I completely agree 100%!! This is just getting dumb. The NCAA is a corrupt organization and they need to fix this but they wont.

Jawara had a lot of off shooting games down the stretch. I don’t think it’s going to be that big of a loss so long as WSU lands some quality transfers and isn’t hitting up high schools in the next month or two to fill out the roster.

It’s too early to know how the team looks, but it may well be a rough year ahead given the under performance of teams. Last year was supposedly the most talented team on paper to lace up their sneakers, and they finished 4th in the Big Sky. Might be a sub .500 year.

Seiku, offensively, is a definite loss. As catcat said to me, he shot 42% from 3 and scored 13ppg. Those are great numbers. However, defensively...he would get lost at time on the floor and lose his man frequently. So many times it was Seiku's man who got loose and scored the easy bucket. He has the potential of becoming a really good basketball player but he has to learn how to play defense every possession down the floor. I hope he finds what he is looking for. Maybe he feels he needs a different staff to get him to where he wants to get to. Who knows. Technically, he isn't gone until someone else picks him up. He can still come back, but that is rare.
