Selection Sunday Thread

Scotty would have his work cut out for him trying to defend their 7-2 center. Let's just face it, we're going to go against a beast no matter who it is. Here's to dreams and Go Viks!
 
If PSU can avoid a matchup with a team like Georgetown and instead get a smaller team like Memphis, they have a chance, not a great one but a decent one. Like most low major teams they lack size (other than Morrison) to compete. Think about their biggest loss this year, to UCLA, whereas Wazzu was actually pretty close.
 
I'm not going to be able to go to the Buffalo Wild Wings selection party, but whoever attends, give us a report on how it was. Work comes at the most inconvient times sometimes. Hope there's a good showing today. Go Viks!

Once I get the sauce from the wings off of my fingers, I'll give a report.

The Selection Party was fun. The entire team and staff was there and a ton of media. I got there right at 2pm and tables were going fast. Not sure how many people showed up a little late and didn't get a table. Maybe a bigger venue next year?

A couple things I noticed.

-When the good folks at Buffalo Wild Wings say that their sauce is hot, they are not messing around. It felt like my face was melting and anything related to water that was in my body was soon venting it's way out of the pores in my face. It took two large beers to put the flames out.

-The entire room forgot about any sort seeding for a brief moment when Portland State University flashed up on the television. It was and still is a very proud moment.

-CBS using "PRST" is not going to fly with me.

-My initial reaction in seeing Oregon get a 9 seed was to hope that Mississippi State drills them by 30. I think this anger is due to the 15 seeds that were chosen over us in the east and midwest regions.

All in all it was fun. The team seemed really upbeat regardless of what the fans/supporters think about the seeding. I'm glad that they get there moment in the spotlight in the Portland media. They sure earned it. :-)
