This is the dream match up we have been waiting for, but the griz are talking about turning our stadium into "WaGriz South." We need to do everything we can to make sure it does not happen!

I've already invited around 20 friends. It's been easy to get them excited by telling them how dirty Montana is and what a scumbag Bobby Hauck is. I'm pretty sure they intentionally injured 5 of our players.

Does anyone have any plans or ideas to help pack the house?

Not sure what you can do about the Griz fans not filling the stadium short of putting up roadblocks or closing the airport. Griz play hard, they do not play dirty. They did not intentionally injure any players. They played to win which last I knew is what the game of football is all about. It is funny how Weber State wants the reputation of playing hard football. How is Bobby Hauck a scumbag? because he out coached you guys at every level? I bet you really hate him after Friday.

We need to get 1280am to be broadcasting from campus a couple times this week, including game day. We need those UDOT signs out on Harrison, like one on 12th, 30th, 36th, 42nd, and near 89 juction. We need the local media to hype this (paper, radio, campus, etc), we need TV ads on all local channels, we need social media blowing this up, we need some huge donors to do a ticket promo, like AFCU or LHMG, we need players promoting this at the Union, and anywhere on campus this week, we need some TV interviews with Hill and players on all local sports segments this week, and we need decent weather. Literally, 5k will not help us beat UM. We need 15k to show up to help. We need to, like Tal says, tap into the students at LDSSA, and other clubs/orgs., and we can promote this that its on ESPN2. Maybe people will see that its important if ESPN will be here.

One poster called it WA Griz South. Let's not be dramatic. Being on Friday will greatly reduce the amount of Griz fans making the trip. We need more bodies for sure but we also need loud fans. There is only one team left in the state playing for a true championship.

Friday night
8pm start time
Possible Rain/Snow
Game on TV.

Perfect recipe for an empty stadium.

Hope im wrong but it's not likely

Forecast has changed from snow to rain. Temperatures improved to a high of 42. Hyperthermia shouldn’t set in until after half time.

I will be there, just myself, but I will be loud.

Former player here. Never thought that Weber State Football would become this good and need fans this badly. Always expected Ogden to fully support Weber State Football. We need everyone to show up this Friday night. Me and my teammates helped save Weber State Football in 95', now we need everyone to show up and help send this team to the National Championship game. I'm bringing 10 and I'm contacting every person in my facebook, on my phone contacts, instagram, and twitter. I'm also getting a hold of guys who love football but went to USU or Utah (hell, I'll even take Zoobs) because we need everyone cheering on the Cats this week. Do what I'm doing and get the word out. We need to #selloutstewart.

I even called Coach Ark up. Hope he comes back to see what he helped save go win a championship.

We are pretty hyped for the game and made a hype video. We didn't get a good reception from Weber fans so we decided to take it down. We are still working hard to get a big crowd on Friday!

Weber State Football Hype Video - Send the Griz Packing!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XmHKjt3LEdM&t=90s

Weber State fan rallies the State of Utah to fill up Stewart Stadium and avenge a blowout loss to Montana.

OH MY that is disturbing lol.

No players were intentionally injured. If I am not mistaken one was already injured and should not have been playing, two guys ran into each other. I seem to recall Weber was proud of playing tough D and refresh my memory but didn't one of BSC best QB's get taken out in a game you guys won? Hmm was that intentional or just part of the game of football?

Has anyone seen any promo for this game? Any news releases, TV, radio, signs, etc? We need more than FB and twitter to drive the crowd.

JH said postgame, "if we can't get this place soldout next week, well then...." he didnt finish his sentence, but one can imagine. 1280 talked about the lack of support of attendence. A sellout is highly unlikley, but it does show Ogden and the communities love and support for JH.

WSUFan what did you expect?!? MARKETING IS EXTREMELY LAZY!! No innovation, ideas, or work ethic. Our new AD needs to take notice now! Just Enough Jerry was okay with just enough, but that crap needs to freaking end, and he needs to end it before it ruins his administration. What is really sad, is that The
supposed Cupcake Man" did more last year than what we are seeing this year. "The Cupcake Man" doing a better job should be the epitome of embarrassing for our new marketing leadership. I walked around campus this morning on my way to work (getting some presents for the kids and the bookstore always has just what I want ) and saw nothing. I went up to the AD's office to complain and saw some signs in the Health Professions Bldg. That was the only place throughout the entire campus.

Dear new AD, if you want to keep your job, don't be like Jerry Bovee and actually get marketing to WORK.

Thanks for noticing!! My work studies wanted to promote the game. So, I let them. Took them around 10mins to put those signs up.

This has been a discussion on this forum for so long now. Yet, Athletics has still not received the word. Could it be that Athletics doesn't know of this forum, or is it that they just have no respect for anyone's opinion but their own? It is overly clear that WSU students and the Ogden community have been largely neglected when marketing WSU Athletics. It seems like all of the attention has been targeted at Alumni and the local business community. That is too simplistic and has no long range sustainability factored in.

We have a new AD. Maybe we can get some new thinking going into this. There needs to be more youth attracted to WSU Athletics. All of us Boomers are dying off.

Have seen the TV sports media provide pretty good coverage a couple of evenings lately...other than that, same as usual...internet postings, etc.

Doubt that we'll see much change with the "new" AD Crompton, he's been an "insider" for years, part of the mode of operations that've been going on for years. The more things change the more they stay the same, at least with the current Weber State leadership, which seems satisfied with the status quo. New blood with some bold new ideas & energy is required to make any big changes. :twocents:

Any idea how ticket sales are going?
When I picked up my tickets Tuesday, I asked how sales were going. The answer I got back was that it was going well. They never tell you exactly how many. I would love to see a big crowd. :coffee:
