Its official. WSU vs PSU

PSU 1-16 at the dee vs wsu and 10-25 vs wsu overall
PSU 8-6 in big sky tourney
PSU 0-3 vs WSU in big sky tourney

2002: (quarter) Weber State 84, Portland State 62
2005: (semi) Weber State 71, Portland State 61 (psu hosted and was conf champ)
2007: (semi) Weber State 77, Portland State 74 (wsu hosted and was conf champ and tourney champ)

Any team that Weber would have to play would be tough, Its Portland State, All Weber needs to do is take care of business, we are at home, we have the best team.

LETS JUST TAKE CARE OF BUSINESS.

He played the full 40 minutes of this game. He did not score a lot (8 points), but he was likely double teamed the whole game. So much for the "bruised heel"

In reference to the game they won last week (which was meaningless for WSU except for making sure D-Lill won the scoring title - which he did), Mr. Waters said: "It was a statement game. I know if we win next week (at Montana State), we play (Weber State) when we get to their building. They got beat there in the semifinals last year, so it's feasible for us. We've got to continue to play hard."

I don't think the PSU win last week made much of a statement. Had they won when the game meant something, then I would agree it was a statement. WSU will be more than ready this week. I would rather play PSU - they are very athletic, but team ball (Rahe ball) will win this game.
UNC and UM will beat each other up - I can't wait until Tuesday!

the game last week means nothing. Weber's defense was pretty lax the entire game. Weber needs to be the aggressor.

Stopping Julius Thomas and Jamie Jones is going to be key, I think Mahoney will play a big role Tuesday night, anybody think Washington could play a little more and put a body on one of these two.

Other than the renewed confidence PSU gained by thinking they can beat us.

I for one think this is the perfect matchup.. we should finally break through with defense, and beat these guys like a high school team.. they will be pressed to shoot 3's like @ montana state, and if you watched, very little defense going on... we just need to lock down and play hard.. lots of turn overs... it's our house and nobody in the conference can beat us here... go wildcats...

I yearn to see Weber play the beloved Bengals of Idaho State. I truly would love to see the boys play ISU once more. There is nothing better than mashing, boiling or frying the Spuds. Hosting is forever grand and I will still get pleasure being at the semifinal regardless of opponent. I have seen all 19 champions live. To you youngens, it never gets old!

Is anybody else stoked for the game. It looks like Julius Thomas ate MSU alive Saturday. I am curious to see how Rahe D's up on Thomas and J Jones are we going to see more From Mahoney a little Washington maybe. I think Lillard and Session will take care of Waters and Melvin Jones, I think Stopping Julius Thomas and Jamie Jones is the key to winning tomorrow night. They have played well their last couple games and have some renewed confidence. Should be a good one.

I wouldn't doubt seeing Panos and Morris at the same time. Also, MSU doesn't really have an inside game. After Mbunga left MSU was left with very little for the post.

Will there be any signage to promote Joker for the Championship if we win, somebody tell Strand to give us our song back.

Thanks in part to the play of Mahony and Morris, Weber pulled that one out. Bad shooting night all around though. Got to shoot better tomorrow night.

Joe sure knows how to kill the crowd with his lack of DJ ability!!! What a moron. Then he plays "Joker" at completely the wrong time. He starts playing it at a 30 second time out?? WTF?!? The crowd sure responded to "joker". Does anyone think that he will learn from this??? I doubt it.

ESPN's box score says Hughey only played 15 minutes?? I thought he played more. 9 points in 15 is a very efficient game though. That same box says 4,387 in attendance??? It sure looked like a lot more than this! Tell me there was more than this! Is this an error? Weber State shows 5,162 for the semis LAST YEAR and in the conference media guide is shows last years semis at 6,162???

I am sure that the 6,162 attendance figure is the paid attendance, not butts in seats. Each school has to pay for a certain number of seats even if the fans don't show. :ugeek:

6,162?

the Standard says there was only 4,387 :?:

Despite the size of the crowd, I LOVED how loud it was, Its just like I told my dad, Its not our largest crowd, but its our loudest crowd.

I LOVED IT
