I'd imagine the game will be friday night because both semi final games will be televised and I believe the saturday game is 9 am our team, makes more sense to have Delaware host the Saturday game and Eastern the Friday game...but we will see tomorrow.

What a win today....we need a LOT more support next weekend...

Ya, no kidding. Our attendance in these two playoff games has been downright embarrassing. Far worse that in 2004 and 2007. I'm not getting it. I don't know what the answer is, but we need to do a far better job of getting people out to the game next week. Oh wait, I said that last week.

I don't understand ther attendance at all.. we drew well for home playoff games in '97 and '04, and can't draw dick now. I have no explanation for it. What the hell Eagle fans?

Completely agree, 5:00 pm game time Friday is a challenge. Need to find some sponsors who can buy blocks of tickets, $100 should buy us 10 end zone tickets. I can get local Boy Scouts, Campfire Boys and Girls, Martin Luther King Center, Special Olympics or other local groups on the phone this week and see if they can get to Cheney and watch some great college football. If someone can put up $500, I will contact EWU and see how many end zone tickets that will buy. Contact me if you have ideas, let's get to 5000 this Friday night, which was around our season average.

If you were on Roos Field right after the game you saw how much our guys appreciate their fans. So many smiling faces. What an outstanding group of young men and I cannot say enough about our staff. Many folks who follow this blog know how far EWU football stretches their resources. This staff works as hard as any in the nation. Thank you Beau Baldwin and all the coaches for a magical season. Let's keep it going but win or lose Friday our home season has just been unbelievable this year. Let's go 8-0 on the Red.

Send me a PM and we can talk.

Will do. Got to put up the Christmas tree first, just got in from Swenson's. NIce Christmas present for us all yesterday, still can't believe we won that game. See everyone at the Coaches Show at Northern Quest.

Time to put the challenge up to the City of Spokane!!!! Get ur asses out there and support the #1 team in the country!!!! Don't think the Zags are much of a threat right now!!! GOEAGS!

I know EWU is making an effort at trying to get Spokane and local businesses out there. They offered up to my buddies company - $6 tickets, an entire area for their personal tailgate and were trying to get a band. They offered up the same deal to the local school district (in Spokane) and they also turned it down saying they didn't have a person they could utilize to spend time getting the word out. Doesn't everyone have email now? $6 tickets? Though that was regular season and with this being the playoffs, my guess is the NCAA regulates that price.

I'm disappointed in Spokane. Yes, it's cold. Yes, it was snowing - but with the excitement and teeter tottering of the game, who really noticed that much? And with Christmas being a week after this upcoming game, my guess is, conservative little Spokane will spend that money on a movie and a bottle of wine with friends, ho ho ho'ing it up, versus giving support to a team who goes largely unappreciated. But will all want to jump on board if/when we make it to Frisco, TX.

What was attendance at yesterdays game? I felt like it was fewer than the SeMO game, four seats next to us (seatbacks) were empty. :(

Now that TJ is out, how do we compete this week? I think we can, but if we will is debatable. Who would you say was the best team we beat when Taiwan was not at full strength?

What would be YOUR game plan for Friday night?

Our coaching staff is top notch. I have no doubt they will have the best game plan in place to give us the best possible chance to win this game. They have probably watched the Vill vs App game a dozen times and will have this team ready to go come game time.

Hurry up-type, quick outs, bubble screens, and letting high % passes open up a running game is going to be our best bet. I agree with the poster in the other "coaching" thread.

Let's face it. 'Nova's NOT going to be worried over our offense and have to game plan even CLOSE to what they would have had to had TJ been ready to go.

But...maybe we can give them a couple of new wrinkles? Let Edwards or Gant make some plays...we'll see!

Yes, open up the playbook, more misdirection stuff, maybe a reverse or two. It seems like we've seen less of that stuff with Mitchell than we did with Nichols. We have to do everything we can to give BLM more time. Our o-line got pushed around a little yesterday and it took NDSU settling into a prevent on the last drive for BLM to hit his stride. I would expect Nova to scout this and bring the heat which is all the more reason to be ready with screens. How the o-line performs on Friday will go a long way to determining the outcome.

We're not expected to even give them a game ! Let's see, 3rd road game in a row, 4 days rest, 3000 mi. plane trip, red turf, no crowd noise, THAT'S WHT WE PLAY the GAME!!! GOEAGS!

This should be interesting...

props to you all for coming this far...but the buck stops with the defending national champs!!
BEWARE OF SZCZUR...

Nova's gonna DEMOLISH E.Wash!!

We wish Ceasar or Scuzur or Seizure or whatever well with finals this week. Our team leads the Big Sky in GPA every year and our guys finished their finals last week. We haven't traveled in weeks and we are 7-0 at home. We respect the defending national champs but we will strap it on again Friday night, we are ready to play Monday if Villanova wants to push up the date. We won this year on the road without Taiwan, we can do it again. Tell the fellows good luck with their exams this week, no time for game film, focus on their coursework!

Nova is going to see a ton of different plays....the one bright spot to Jones being hurt is that Nova has no way to prepare for a team without TJ. We have one game, Weber, without him completely. It will be tough to gameplan against the eags as we will be throwing a lot at them that they have not seen.

I want to see us jump on them early, BLM will need to play his best game, but he has it in him. We CANT turn the ball over like Saturday and we need to create some of our own. Hopefully we will throw it all over the place and BLM will just light it up. We have a shot but we have to bring our A game.

We also need to bring our fans, friday at 5 is a tough time for a lot of folks to get there, but we need them there. I will be there and I'm sure my voice will be gone by half time like last week, but we need a strong fan base on friday, its the freaking SEMIFINALS!!!
