SENGLIN DONE FOR YEAR?

His jaw is broken and reportedly will be out for at least four weeks. Is he done for the season, assuming we don't make the Big Sky tourney?

A few of us started the same thread at the same time. Here are my thoughts.

The official word is that Jeremy does in fact have a broken jaw and will miss four weeks. My guess is that will effectively be the season.

Hayden Hunter will need to step up and not be afraid to make a few buckets. Golden and Gittens will need to share increased roles. Richardson will be needed when he is back from injury.

I think our game tomorrow will be very telling. Will they rise up and rally together or will they sink in defeat? Normally, I would tell you that Rahe's teams rally and get the job done but I don't know about this group of players.

The BSC tourney is in exactly four weeks, so unless a shorter recovery, that's it (don't see Weber playing after the BSC tourney even if they make that...barring a miraculous turn around). Injuries suck!

Huge loss for a team already struggling. It's hard to believe with them sitting around 6th in the standings that they will get it together and hang on to make the tourney, especially when they are struggling to win at home.

I do hope this situation forces Rahe and Co. to create a team focused offense instead of ill-advised 3pt attempts and wreckless drives into post defense. Hajek and Coston should be more capable of helping this team but it isn't gonna be without a full team effort and play.

Well...thats poopy! Does he need surgery? I really hope not. Four weeks is bad enough.

So...here is the question. Will the Big Sky be suspending Oliverson for targeting?

I saw the play clearly from where I sit and personally, I thought it was a clean screen. The problem was that no one on the team yelled screen and Jeremy got caught blind-sided. That is basketball 101 and once again an example of how this team does not play as a unit.

Hope he gets better soon.

Okay, so, on to next season. Without Jeremy this team is dead in the water. Golden will become the ultimate chuker now.
