Senior Harvey Unga leaves BYU

Honor code violations  have caused Unga and Keilani Moeaki to leave the Y. So with a snowballs chance in .... could Mac get Unga to come finish his college season at WSU? We could use a bruising senior RB to take some of the pressure off Higgins. And we all know our women's team could use any help they can find so I am sure they would take a 6'-2" forward in Moeaki.

"The other rumor floating somewhat heavily around cyberspace is that Unga has already spoken to Weber State and head coach Ron McBride about transferring to the program.

Should Unga transfer to Weber State, a school in the FCS, he would still retain his senior year of eligibility and be allowed--per NCAA rules--to play immediately.

Should the transfer take place, Weber State would position itself well in the next season as a legitimate FCS championship contender."

"Unga cannot transfer to a Football Championship Subdivision (FCS, formerly Division I-AA) program such as Weber State due to an NCAA rule implemented in 2006 that prohibits seniors-to-be in Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) programs from transferring to an FCS program and playing right away.

The rule was changed four years ago due to concern that players were transferring for athletic reasons only (DUH) and a market was being created by FCS schools looking for one-year "hired guns," especially in the skill positions"

didnt we have this same discussion last yr about a senior to be linebacker from utah or byu n we found out this rule then? lol

honor code lol what a joke. nice college experience.

must be embarrassing to go to a school that would make your personal life public knowledge when you break a "rule" aka being a normal college student at any other university.
