need a crowd of 7,775 to get 100,000 fans on the season in the dee. wsu is 13-1 at home this year. 9-0 in big sky. 18 straight big sky home wins.

We had 6,838 tonight, I was off by 148, My predictions have been pretty close this year

There is no reason we shouldnt get at least 8,000 for saturday, it's the last home game of the year/senior night, A SATURDAY, and we are celebrating our 50th year of Big Sky basketball here's hoping for 9,000+

If EWU wins on the road at Weber State, Southern Utah wins at North Dakota, Northern Arizona loses at Montana and Sacramento State loses at Montana State, respectively, the Eagles, NAU and Sac State would finish in a three-way tie for seventh at 8-12. The teams would be 2-2 amongst each other, therefore, the seventh and final berth would go to EWU by virtue of its victory over Weber State.

All other scenarios, including four-way ties, would not go in Eastern’s favor – thus necessitating Southern Utah’s win at North Dakota. Eastern is trying for its third-straight tournament berth, and 13th in 26 years as a member of the Big Sky Conference, with 12 previous appearances (1990, 98, 99, 2000, 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 11, 12).

No way, EWU comes out of here with a win. I hope they give us a game, but ultimately, they don't have much of a chance. Our starters got a lot of rest this evening. For about 8 minutes of the first half and 10 minutes of the second, we had either one or no starters on the floor. A lot of guys got a lot of minutes. Players that usually don't see the light of day. Honestly, if the cheer leaders would have had better shoes, they would have played a few minutes, tonight. :yikes:

I'm one of those guys that never say never, but EWU should not be able to come into our house and beat us this time like they did a few years ago, two different teams playing now, one vastly improved, one not so much

This bodes to be a potential trap game, given WSU's seed in the tourney is already set in stone. That being said, they still are playing for a possible share of the regular-season crown if Montana somehow goes down at home to NAU. Hopefully, that will be enough motivation to avoid a letdown. ... That and a bunch of the Weber State "legends" will be in attendance. They won't wanna disappoint those guys. :thumb:

Uh yeah...Two years ago we all thought the Eagles had no chance of coming into the Dee and beating the Cats. That didn't go so well. Remember that was our last loss, at home, to a Big Sky team. Also, a lot was hanging on a Weber State win that night too. A win would have given the Cats a chance to host the tournament. Tomorrow is very similar, but the Cats can't lose with the likes of Dick Motta, Phil Johnson, Neil McCarthy, Gene Visscher, Bruce Collins, Jimmy D, Brady Small, Randy Worster, Shawn Campbell, and a lot of other guys in the crowd. Gotta take care of business, and hope for some luck in Montana.

THIS TEAM DESERVES TO HANG A BANNER!!
