Shall we start a North Dakota Look-alikes thread?

Nah, it's dumb, juvenile, and five years ago.

:D

So give us an example of something smart, mature and imaginative. I think this board could use it.

North Dakota will be a real test for the Bengal defense -- they have two of the best running backs in the conference, including John Santiago who has been an all-conference back since his freshman year. (Loved coach Phenicie's comment: "That guy is still there?") They also have a very balanced defense -- shut down a very good Sam Houston State team last week on the road. I didn't vote to put UND in the top 25 FCS poll this week, but I probably should have. If they beat ISU this week, I'll definitely add them next week. But let's hope the Bengals get a statement win instead.

ND is ranked 22. If ND loses to ISU that would probably knock them out of the top 25.

Both Sam Houston and Notth Dakota are not in the top 25 this week. They are average teams at best coming into week 5.

OR... ISU is better than the media thinks.

Let's face it, the media has been wrong before. But somebody has to be ranked. ISU football has chosen to knock two teams out of the top 25 rankings, and there is opportunity to knock more teams out of the rankings in the weeks to come.
I would bet that NAU will be in the top 25 next week if they come away with the W Saturday; but they won't!

Sam Houston State is in fact ranked in the top 25 this week.

Also in the coaches poll.

Polls are based on reputation, and the FCS poll is notoriously biased in that way. Why else is SHSU ranked after suffering 2 straight losses? Even though North Dakota lost at home to ISU, they still are receiving more votes in the poll than ISU. UC Davis appears ranked too low. Illinois State is undefeated and just throttled Colorado State (a bad FBS team) in Fort Collins. They're ranked behind Wofford, who narrowly lost to an average/bad Wyoming FBS team.
