Short Video - Alum overseas

I'd love Kyle to come back and help develop our bigs. He could really help them to develop some more moves, like an up and under move. He was awesome with his back toward the basket.

I like Kyle a lot. His game has really progressed. People remember him as a senior and now as a pro, but they forget what his game was like as a freshman. I remember his game being a lot like this 7 footer's coming in next year. He was a bit mechanical. I would say that Zack's game is ahead of where Kyle's was as a sophomore. I believe that our coaches do a great job of developing big men. I think that I have said this before, but big men develop a little slower than guards. They also seem to have a longer growth period. Someday Kyle may want to get into coaching. If that happens, I'm sure that Randy would help him along. :coffee:

We don't appear to be teaching rebounding very well. I think development of bigs is an area we could use help.

Agreed. Big development must become a bigger priority for Randy. I think it is fine, but it could be a lot better. Tresnak developed a ton from his freshman to senior year. This is true, but he had tools before he even started playing at Weber. Those tools were greatly polished, but he already had some nice moves. Those are things that need to be developed with Braxton. Zach is a fantastic player, but with a better bigs coach or mentor he could become great.

I could have swore that Bolomboy was a rebounding beast with limited offensive talent and now is in the pro's.

Please add something constructive. You sound like a sanctimonious ass. I don't like the negativity either, but you aren't helping by passively attacking others with your snide remarks. Also, if you ever watched Bolomboy, you would know that he wasn't taught to rebound. He rarely boxed out. He just has a knack at getting to the ball. Fundamentally, he isn't a good rebounder, but is a freak talent and was a ball magnet.

To get back on topic. Love seeing Big Kyle excel! He definitely deserves it. Such a hard worker. :thumb:
