Badass. Let's hope that upword trends continues! Pretty cool to watch the UCLA game tonight and hear them tking about VA and EWU.
 
I don't follow pro football much so do not know what happened with Kapernick at SF. He came on the scene hot late last year but I have not heard much since. Have teams figured him out?
I mention that here because VA reminds me of a smaller version of Kapernick.

hope that this doesn't lead to an early departure.....
I would love to see what type of stats and things he can do at EWU & what a draw he could be for the school. Let's get the GATEWAY PROJECT DONE IN TIME TO SHOWCASE HIM FOR HIS SENIOR YEAR! :o :shock:

So cool to hear the announcers talking about VA and EWU during the broadcast! Shout out to the O-Line for helping him put those numbers up there!!

I'm not saying it can't or won't happen, but VA is only 6 foot tall. That's already one strike against him; playing at an FCS school is another due to lack of exposure relative to the BCS conferences and perceived level of competition. Any agent in their right mind would not advise Vernon to declare after his Junior year. If he can perform for another two years at a similar level to what he's been doing this year, he might have a shot, but he needs that time to polish his game and get more people to notice him.

Add in recent mis-haps with Padron and Kaufman last season (throw Jones in there as well), and I don't see any scenario playing out in which he would decide to leave early. It would be a huge mistake for him if he's serious about playing at the next level.
