SI Bracket Projection

I think not being in that game would be a safe guarentee!! I think the only way that would happen for a 'Sky team would be if like say the 5-6th place team made the NCAA tourney.
 
Yeah, I check the conference RPI periodically, and there have been about five conferences with inferior RPIs throughout the season. As long as one of the better teams wins the Big Sky, I think a 15-16 seed is likely.
 
I'll look through the record book to see if we've ever had a 16...I think UM did maybe in 2005. Another thing about those inferior conferences is they usually have their conference champions by the time our conf tournament even starts. And when they don't send their best team they are even more so guarenteed a 16 seed.
 
Kansas? Yikes! It's fun to speculate but PSU is miles way away from any tourney spot. 6 more conference games and 2-3 conference tourney games.
 
Personally, I hate this "Bracket Projection" stuff, as it seems pointless (and most certainly bad karma, as you've noted).
 
With the one bid leagues, the projections aren't useful. However, in bigger conferences, especially bubble teams need to know where they place early on.
 
Well, thus far, seeing PSU's name in a bracket projection is the closest thing we've ever had to seeing PSU in an actual bracket, so I don't feel bad about speculating.

Just once I'd like to be able to proudly fill out my office bracket with PSU cutting the down nets! I will have never been so happy to lose money!

Gotta admit that I feel some of the same superstitions. Funny that even though I was trained as an engineer, when it comes to PSU sports I battle superstitious impulses.

Well, ManOfVision, this is your year !! And I'm sure that's bad karma, too. I too shouldn't be superstitious, given my training, as we gears are supposed to be analytical, objective and practical. I guess we just don't like counting our chickens before they hatch !! There's many a slip between cup and lip, as my Dad used to say.
 
Hey, at least we have the opportunity to discuss (or not) something like this. Remember two years ago? We had quite the hangover after that regular season BSC championship team. :-\
