Weber State is 4-0 against Montana State and Montana.

The last time Weber won two in a row against Montana was in the 1984-85 seasons.

The last time Weber won two in a row against Montana State was in the 1994-1996 seasons where Weber won 3 in a row.

True these aren't the same Montana and Montana State teams of the past but these also aren't the same Weber teams of the past. Jay Hill has done a lot for this program since he became the coach here.

Now he just needs to beat Eastern and SUU a little more often.

Good points, Wildcat. Yes, Hill has this thing headed in the right direction. The way he has and is building this program is with the long term in mind. He hasn't gone for the quick fix. 95% of his recruits have been HS and missionary kids. He red shirts a large number of freshmen each year and, in this way, he has built depth into the program. BTW, that isn't an easy thing to do with the scholarship limitations we have as a FCS D1 program. I think we get 22 less grants than FBS D1 programs. To compete at the highest levels of FCS D1 football, you must recruit a similar level as the FBS schools and make due with fewer players and less depth. Hill is doing exactly what needs to be done. :coffee:
