Who is the first off the bench next year?

Richardson
Zaid
Williams
Fulton
Hajek
Bolomboy

Who is our most dangerous weapon on the bench? I like knowing that there are some scorers on our bench, Daviionesque which is great!! I'm excited to see our team stay consistent, no matter who is on the floor. We need Lord Byron to really develop over the summer. He needs to become a more consistent scorer and rebounder. If Weber can get some production from their bench, the Cats could become scary good, pretty quick next year.

First guard off the bench is Richardson and first big is Fulton. Either of those guys depending on situation. I have a feeling Williams is going to be the biggest surprise next year. Just a hunch about him. Cant wait till the Purple and White game. Summer sucks. ha ha

It's my opinion that Bolomboy will be a starter at PF by January. Fulton or Otis will be the starter at the beginning of the season. On the guard line, it will be difficult for any of the JCs to get much time. One or two of them will redshirt. The X factor here is how much progress Hill makes during the summer and fall. If he beats Williams out, to back up the 3 position, look out, it could get interesting. My vote for 6th man of the year would split between James and Jordan. :coffee:

Bolomboy starting at the 4 by conference? Interesting prospect, could happen. I think a lot depends on Mook's knees and Byron's continued development. There is an excellent chance that Mook won't be here next fall, even though I really hope he will be. If he is or isn't is yet to be seen, as of right now, he will be, but due to his ongoing knees issues, anything we can get from Mook will be huge. I don't see Mook playing more than 20min a game, and that might be a maximum, as a way to keep him fresh and available for the entire season.

Richardson is a no brainer. He will play both the 1 and 2 next fall, and then I think Zaid is the next guard in. Williams, hmmm, I really don't know what to expect or think about him. I'm guessing he is going to end up being pretty good for the Cats.

Hill and Bradford should redshirt next fall. Neither need to redshirt. Both could play right away, but I think a redshirt would be best for a couple of reasons. First, it will give them the opportunity to get more PT with the eligibility they have, and next, another year of development, maturity, and growth would turn them from being average to good players, and could possibly put them on track to becoming great players. Both are definite finds and will end up being special players for Rahe and the Cats.

Bolomboy or Williams will both end up wowing Wildcat fans. Williams was injured most of last year and still led his JC team in most categories. Think what he will do at full strength? Bolomboy is going to end up being a marquee player.

I'm thinking us Cat fans will be surprised by a lot of things next year. :thumb: It is going to be a fun season with a lot of surprises.

Sometimes I think we forget just how good richardson is. He would be a starter on most Big Sky teams in my opinion. So I'm with wazzu -- Jrich and Fulton will be the first off the bench.

Hajek might be first off the bench, if Tres picks up two quick fouls. I was really impressed with Hajek - the little that we saw him last year. A strong rebounder and tough defender. He and Tres will make a nice 1-2 combo at the 5.

Thinking about it, it seems as if our 2nd team guys would be good enough to ensure Weber a Big Sky tournament spot and even compete for the conference crown.

Richardson
Zaid
Williams
Fulton/Bolomboy
Hajek

There is some serious talent on our bench, that hasn't been there before. Weird to think this, but is it really possible that our team this fall could be better than last years?

PURP;

Better than last years team, I don't really know. A lot depends on rebounding. That is exactly why I think we may see Bolomby starting before league begins. I'm really hoping that Tres catches the rebounding bug over the summer, and that there is no cure. We will only be as good as our rebounding and defense. Bolomboy brings both of those things to the game. I think Hill brings that as well. I'm really at a loss to speculate what kind of defense and rebounding we may get out of the 3 spot. If hill is ready to go, it will help a lot. I'm also hoping that Berry can get to the glass and get a few boards. If it turns out that we can't rebound, we will need to become a pressing team. If that happens, there won't be any redshirting guards. If we become a pressing team, all of the rotations will change, out of necessity. The sixth man could be somebody we are looking at as a starter. :stir:

Just think of how good Weber would have been last year without the injuries to Mook, Bull, and Hajek. We began the season with lots of depth at the 4 and 5 and quickly had no depth. Depending on how good the new guys are, I can see next year's team easily matching what this year's team accomplished.

Prof;

It is true that we have had more than our fair share of injuries over the past couple of years. Injuries can change everything. However, our number one 6th man may change several times this season, like all the others. This season there are too many unknowns to know how to make this prediction. That is one of the reasons that this year is so interesting. I'm not sure that any of the new transfers can make a huge impact, but if they do, it becomes even more interesting. There are a few things I am really hoping for. It would be great if we could get through a whole season without any major injuries. I would like to see Wheelright come back with more maturity and development. I really hope that Bamforth's little boy regains full health and Scotty can relax and enjoy life, like it should be. I hope that Mook can have the senior season that he deserves. I hope that one or two of our new guys turns out to be the diamonds we have been looking for.

If the students attendance continues to grow, I would give them the 6th man award. :rockon:
