Both installments of a two-part question and answer series with Big Sky Conference deputy commissioner Ron Loghry discussing the centralization of the Big Sky basketball tournament at a neutral site.

Found the interview to be excellent. Real, solid information here from Ron on the process, how it all came about, the objections and what may transpire come March.

Pocatello / ISU is mentioned three times in the story if I remember right either by name or by implication.

Well done in my opinion.

International influence trickles down to Big Sky basketball

The international influence is also being felt on the women's side. Idaho tied for the most international players in the nation last year with seven on a single team. They also had four Australians on the team which was the most from a single country on one team in Division-1 basketball.

ISU has four international players this year from Canada, New Zealand and Spain.

Next year with the fall signees already committed they'll have at least five and who knows maybe more than that when all is said and done.

Respectfully disagree, Policicchio is the Defensive Player of the Year.

152 blocks in her career as of tonight. 78 blocks the season alone. Solid rebounder as well.

Sacramento State plays such a "non traditional" game that their stats are going to be inflated beyond all reasonable proportions. No disrespect to Randle-El.

I agree. We waffled between Policicchio, Randle-El and Montana State's Riley Nordgaard hard. Difficult decision. After seeing Policicchio live in Bozeman, she got my vote but several coaches told me they thought it would be Randle-El. Like always with this stuff, it's none of the three — instead, it's Brittney Dunbar from Weber State...
