So Proud of Bo Levi Mitchell

Bo Levi definitely has the it factor, and just flat out knows how to play football.

I heard on an interview last week that he was planning on being at the playoff game this Saturday in Cheney to watch his brother and former mates beat the Griz.

It was also cool that Russell Wilson showed up at the game. I know he's a mentor to Vernon Adams, and I hope this bodes well for next week. GO EAGS!

Thought it was pretty interesting how they mentioned he's won a championship in HS, college, and now at the professional level. Still think he deserved a shot in the NFL, but he's certainly having a great career in the CFL.

Found this site just so this 55 year old Calgary Stampeder fan could say "thank you" to Eastern Washington Athletics for Bo Levi Mitchell. I've been a Stamps fan since I was a little boy and I've seen a few good QBs in my time play for Calgary. Bo Levi Mitchell is as good as I have ever seen in a Stamps uniform.

Thank you from all Calgary Stampeder fans !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's awesome to hear from a Stamps fan. I for one have become a regular follower of the CFL and enjoy checking on former EWU Eags.

Congratulations Calgary!

Thanks for posting, and congrats to BLM and the Stamps!

Unfortunately for Stamps fans, Eastern also produced the QB for the Esks!

Not to mention Stampeder long-timer Rick Worman!

We've got Alberta on lock!

Yep. He's kind of like Kupp in that at first blush he appears just good, not great, with OK measurables. Then you watch him play...

In another thread there is a the list of Eastern Washington players in the pros. As a Stamps fan I truly love to see the Esks get blown out, but they are on a successful rebuild and they have two top quarterbacks, one being Matt Nichols and LB JC Sherritt who set a CFL record in tackles. I do remember Mr. Rick Worman in the mid to late 80s. He was steady and very rarely made mistakes. I did not know Shea Emry was an alumni as well. That guy should be in the NFL but its too late now. In a showdown between Shea Emry and Predator, I would put my money on Mr. Emry
Greg Peach used to play for Edmonton so I saw him play a lot. He managed to plant a lot of CFL quarterbacks into the turf. There is obviously a good scouting relationship with the CFL and eastern Washington schools as over the decades I have seen a lot of talent come from WSU Eastern and other institutions.
I would recommend watching the labour day game that's always in Calgary and the back to back follow-up game in Edmonton. Those games are always fun but now that I've learned something on this site regarding the alumni in both cities, I'm sure it would be fun for Eastern Washington fans to watch those two games.
Of course the Stamps will win both but still fun to watch. I have to start looking for any TV schedules for Eastern. This school is doing something right and a good college game and someone to root for while having my coffee on a cold day is a lot of fun.

That sure was a heck of a game to watch last night. Congratulations on your championship season!!!

Just sat down to watch the Calgary Flames game and they recognized the Stamps on there big win before. Bo Levi addressed the crowd wearing his cowboy hat. They showed a video celebrating their season and he was in every other highlight it seemed. The folks in Calgary seem to really love him! So dang proud to be able to call him An Eastern Eagle!

EagerEagle,
I set my DVR for that Calgary Stamps Game, came from EWU, started looking at the game, and 1 hour later, found out the entire game was not recorded. I just got the Geni DVR, hope this is not something to come. I did requested the Additional time after each game. I have recorded numerous games, and all came out great, maybe there was a glitch some where. When Bo Levi Mitchell made his 1st completion, that is when the request to delete/don't delete came on. Vic Wallace

To All,
Also saw Brandon Kaufman, and Taiwan Jones at the game. We might have not seen many more of our former Players. Taiwan came and sat with me for a while at half time, after his interview on the Radio with Larry Weir, the "Greatest Radio Announcer in the Northwest, for many years. Taiwan stated he broke the other ankle, and now have screws on both ankles. As most of you know, he is out for the year, and may be doing some defensive playing when season starts next year. Great seeing our former Players. Vic Wallace
