.... Just held Sam Houston State to 14 points. He limited Flanders to 83 yards for the game.

Cal Poly, one week after embarrassing the Big Sky by losing at home to Yale, went to Ogden and shutout Weber 47-0. I have no explanation for how they managed to hang 19 on us last week.

Appalachian State still has only one win this season, as they were just clobbered by Samford. Isn't App State moving to the Sun Belt? I guess they've started lowering their performances to fit in over at the new conference. Lucky for them not have to play these FCS teams anymore.

Fordham is the surprise team of the year at the FCS level. Now 7-0 with wins over Temple and Villanova. Somebody is going to draw this team in the playoffs and be shocked that a Patriot League team can actually play.

One week after getting jobbed in Fargo, Northern Iowa gets dumped by Southern Illinois. It's been a while for the Salukis, are they back on the scene?

I don't know specifics, but I saw on my ESPN score tracker that the SHSU/Lamar game was delayed in the 3rd quarter, and I presume eventually called, so they didn't get to play out the rest of the game.

Lamar LaTrelle. He has a javelin designed specifically for his limp-wristed throwing style. Dude's a track-and-field beast.

The Houston area had crazy thunderstorms again yesterday. Another delay wouldn't have surprised me, but they did play the game in it's entirety.

Fordham's quality wins are against a bubble bound Nova and a Temple team that's 0 - for including a loss to Idaho. They're apparently good...by Patriot league standards.

BTW,Lamar beat Panhandle State WAY worse than the Griz did...so all is good. :thumb:

Considering the beatdown SHSU put on the Eagle D, Lamar must have that side of the ball figured out nicely. If Eastern could ever keep a team like Sam Houston State to just 14, we'd be winning national championships more than every other year. It's a little tough to stomach that a perennial Southland bottom-feeder can outplay our D by such a margin.

AlphaGriz1 wants to be a frat brother with Lamar of the "limp-wristed" Lamda Lamda Lamda fraternity. :D

I'd settle for every other year.

You and your low standards. :ohno:

I would've thought you would've raised them by now since I'm no longer a regular at your tailgate.
