South Dakota Watch Party News (Updated)

I am working with Northern Quest to see if we can get the South Dakota-EWU game on this saturday. It is a matter of the feed working (but it should be carried on a regional sports network MidCo so the quality should be decent).

Thus far, we don't know what NQ can do. If it all works out (their IT guy tomorrow will be meeting with me on this issue), then we will have a watch party at NQ.

Keep in mind that there will be reservations taken for the first 40 diners on the back row and everything will be first come, first serve the day of the game.

Kick-off will be at 2 p.m.

Aside from all of that, we should have quite a few watch parties in 2011. There are seven more games carried on either SWX or Altitude Sports (including the Montana game 9.17).

One would think with 9000 cable channels and a bunch of them local and few of them sports related that someone would pick up the feed. :thumbdown:

Midco does a pretty good job with their broadcasts even though I don't get to watch many broadcasts as they are owned by Midcontinent Cable (the major cable provider in the Dakota's) and they don't make their broadcasts available to any other cable providers in either of the Dakotas and I live in an area not served by Midcontinent. I would love to see them make the games available for broadcast, even if only a replay, on one of the Fox College Sports channels. If you can't make the trip to Vermillion, hopefully you can work out arrangements with Midco to pick up the broadcast.

PS - I did watch the replay of the second half of your game against the Huskies on Sunday afternoon and the Eagles looked impressive. You had the Eagles on the ropes but couldn't land the knockout punch on that final drive.

It's not listed for Big Sky tv..think they broadcast only if it's a home game if it's ooc. http://b2tv.com/upcoming_events.asp?q=v&value=bigsky" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Ugh..I wish this was on Big Sky TV...I'll be stuck in Griz land this weekend and will have to check internet feeds throughout the afternoon for scores.

We will be watching the game (EWU-South Dakota), for FREE, at Swinging Doors (1018 West Francis Ave, Spokane). Northern Quest Casino is undetermined be running the game. Kick-off is at 2 p.m., to reserve a table, call 509-326-6794. It will likely fill up fast!

While Larry Weir may the voice of the Eagles, I am it's Watch Party MC. I will be at Swinging Doors with prizes and just throw out a few questions via football quiz for additional swag. Let's pack this place, as it helps EWU Athletics when we talk to restaurant sponsors about hosting watch parties.

Just got 8 of the black 2010 FCS National Championship t-shirts to give away tomorrow during the watch party when we do college football trivia at Swinging Doors... going to be a great show...

Just off phone with NQ and they said they will be showing game. Troy, can you confirm? They also said they were not pleased with EWU for saying no game feed there. My girlfriend likes to play blackjack during halftime so I would prefer going to NQ!
