Southern Utah/NAU

Longest road trip of the season, but hey, it means 4 days in Vegas (other than travel time to Cedar City and Flagstaff). What more do you want? Don't bother trolling their BSF sites. No one had posted anything on SUU's board since 2015, and on NAU since 2016 (other than our buddy, Colter). Both the T-Birds and the Jacks have played some tough games with not a lot of wins to show. We can get a sweep but we have to remain focused. Also, both games are at altitude (NAU is at 7200ft, SUU is a bit lower at 5000ft). We should get the sweep. Based on the standings, a split will not do.

Halftime from Whoville, Viks down 43-40. I missed most of the first half, fighting Sunset traffic. Guess we were down 12 at one point, fought back, but went a bit cold at the end.

Viks get the win in OT, 96-91. Too much trying to give the game away, Viks finally settled down in overtime and come away with the win. Mayhew a couple big threes in OT.

I caught the early part of the game, but had plans so I had to miss the rest. Really glad to see a win.

Some thoughts:

- Farris played only three minutes.

- Man, Woods and Canda are playing a lot of minutes as of late.

- Hollins. Double/Double, wash/rinse/repeat.

- Pretty good free throw shooting in OT to get the win.

Other scores from around the conference tonight. Our game was the only one that went according to plan.

Northern Arizona 58, Sacramento State 53
Eastern Washington 75, Weber State 70
Idaho State 86, Idaho 83

 :ohno:

So our game tonight against NAU is at the Rolle Activity Center?

Have we played there before? I seem to remember us always playing in the Skydome.

A win by the good guys, 72-66, to get a conference road sweep, something that is difficult to do in this conference, with so many schools playing at altitude. Northern Colorado coming in to town on Thursday. They are a formidable opponent so we need to bring the "A" game, for sure.

Other scores from around the conference

Southern Utah 77, Sacramento State 74
Northern Colorado 79, North Dakota 66
Idaho 68, Weber State 62 :o
Montana 90, Montana State 63
Eastern Washington 74, Idaho State 69
