Yes, because for every other FCS team in the country other than the one that wins the championship, the season is a wasteland of abject failure with nothing to redeem it. :shock:

i get it, everyone wants to win it all but most everyone is enough of a realist to know that outcome happens infrequently and, after the initial disappointment wears off, take pleasure in the team's accomplishments.
 
The thing that makes me nervous is it feels like we took a step back when other squads like SHSU and ISU took huge steps forward. I know that we are just an average defense away from being at the top, but I don't feel super confident that we will get our defense to average with the way it has been trending.

I hate to be pessimistic, it is just hard to feel good about this team on the defensive side of the ball. :?
