Stewart Stadium's to-do list before 9/17...

I love the new upgrades that the stadium has received! There are a few things I wish could get done before the first home game. These do not really cost alot to be done either. These few ideas will increase the attractiveness of the stadium.
•Re-do or paint the seating sections throughout the stadium. (Most are faded and look trashy.)
•Remove weeds growing through east side stands.
•Improve the ticket booths on south, north and west sides. ( Faded and outdate.)
•Opposite endzone speakers.
•Do something with the east side grass on the side if the bleachers... Ideas?
•Put up the Big Sky Conference champion banner, especially 2008.

Game Day improvements.
•Please involve the band.
•The cannon with purple smoke.
•A sweet pre-game mini movie like at the basketball games.
•Crowd involvments.
•Alot of tailgating people and activities.
• Lots of wins!!!!

I really think this years team will surprise people. I like the new look field turf, but these improvements listed above need to be done to complement the new up grades.
Lets sell these games out! Ideas are welcomed!!

1. I have mentioned this before, but Weber could follow UNLV's lead and put backs on thier bleachers, it would make it more comfortable especially for the older fans.

2. Clear out the top of the east stands and take out the shack, and put in a new bathroom with proper restrooms. Also put some permanent concession stands at the top, kinda like what the Raptors do so that the fans can buy a hot dog and still see the game.

3. Put in turnstiles at all the Stadium's entrances, we need something that can take accurate attendance numbers, if we can get something that can count how many people enter the stadium not how may tickets they "gather" I guarantee our attendance #'s would be a lot higher than before.

4. And on the subject of the grass on the east side of the stadium, (and trust me I know this is about as possible right now as us getting Duke to come play at the Dee) But we could put in new bleachers on both ends of the eastern bleachers to hide the grass, have them mold to the track, so that the stadium looks like this I - ). That would hide the grass, and its the only thing I can think about.

Ok so none of the things I mentioned could be finished before Sept, :doh: but Im also thinking in the long run :nod:

Some other ideas have already been addressed.

The Cannon, BRING IT BACK, I remember when Weber had the cannon, it was awesome and loud and would add a lot to the atmosphere.

The Giant purple helmet is awesome, now add some purple smoke to it when the players come out.

Drove past the stadium today. The stadium looks great!! Someone had to have seen this topic, the old section seaing signs have been changed with new purple ones! Makes the stadiun look that more atractive!!! Thank you!!! Hopefully when I arrive to the stadium today, more improvments will have been made as well! ;-)

WSU, ISU, EWU, NAU, PSU and MSU have all made recent improvements on their facilities. Not so sure on UNC, Sac State or Montana? Things are looking up across the conference.

yes, sac had some major upgrades last yr, turf and a facility next to the stadium that benefits all sports. unc has had some good upgrades too over the past yr.
