Strength of Schedule

How do you think WSU strength of schedule stacks up this year?

WSU had 3 D1 Non-Conf wins this season:

UVU who is now 9-10
USU who is now 8-11
and UC-Davis who is now 12-8

Sadly yes, Weber's best Non-Conference win was against UC-Davis

Numbers don't lie

also what the HELL has happened to the Aggies? they are getting worse every year now that Stewie is gone..

Don't forget that they also had some bad losses

Pepperdine who is now 5-15
Iona (by 22 pts) who is now 13-8
Buffalo who is now 9-11
Denver (at home) who is now 12-8

Other losses were

Stanford who is now 11-9
BYU who is now 15-6

Weber can go undefeated in conference every year but if they don't start to improve their OOC record they'll continue to get killed come tournament seeding time. Unless you're happy just getting into the tournament, the OOC season is more important than some seem to think.

Strength of schedule was fine, just wish the team had performed better earlier in the year. Losing at Pepperdine hurt but to me the biggest loss was home to Denver. The team has progressively gotten better since they played BYU.

I didn't have time at work to look up all the records of teams WSU lost to this year sorry...
And perhaps Strength of schedule is the wrong title for this thread but I didn't want to offend any of my friends in Loooolgan by calling this thread "Why in Hell does USU suck so bad?" I mean really, USU was our 3rd best D1 win this year by record anyway...

Regarding SOS, I think we all thought it would be a more difficult schedule before the season began than it actually turned out to be. Turns out most if not all of the teams on the OOC schedule are mediocre or just not very good. There isn't a team that would get an at-large bid if the season ended today. Our current RPI SOS rank is around 233.

I would have preferred that title

The Utes stole their best player -- and a guy that would have rounded their team out nicely!
