I want those 4 hours of my life back, who can I ask for a refund? Mac needs to fire his entire coaching staff. I've never seen more idiotic play calls on both sides of the ball. If I see one more draw or zone read play on 2nd and 10 I'm going to lose it! Most teams are 50/50 run pass in a second and 10 situation, I think we're 95/5 run pass. How about some more creativity, we run the same crap on offense and defense every single drive. Where are the blitzes to help our struggling D-Line on pass rush? I've already heard that some of the players have thrown in the towel, I think I'll do the same, I've spent too much time and money on this program. I'll always be a Wildcat but until mistakes and ineptitudes are addressed, I'm outta here.
 
Add to that nightmare was the attendance. there wasn't even 4000 people there. The reason-two words TELE VISION.

What the F was with the 3rd and 9 DRAW PLAYS?? Seriously?? Eastern has a really good DL, but a suspect secondary, so what does our ingenious OC do...RUNS THE BALL the entire first half...MORON!!

I would bet conference weekend had something to do with the attendance too. So again why not have the 1st week of Oct. a bye week, or away game, or like the USU/BYU game play it earlier in the week...

this one was a tough one to watch, too predictable and lack of execution by the O line.....what's up with our big boys in the front.....gotta hit somebody now and then, that's your job. and the D line has ZERO pressure on the QB, c'mon guys, nut up, strap up, man up.....and get up......let's go!

I agree with you, and I have supported the team, the Purple Pack, the training room and have attended as many games as possible over the past few years and have done so with pride. however, i do think we can do a better job of filling the seats, and win or lose, these guys are cracking their butts in practice.

i didn't mean anything sarcastic or derogatory, but more so for the team to just focus.....one snap and clear, that's all.....nothing more and nothing less. if i could, we'd be at every game.....you wouldn't believe the amount of miles we've travelled the past two years to support the program and coach mac.

Lots of Kool-Aid drinkers here, I see. I have come to the depressing realization that this team sucks, a good portion of the coaches suck, and it's going to be tricky to avoid a sub .500 season. There's always next year.

I am going to Pocatello, have done every time WSU has played football up there in the last 25 years. There is NO WAY in HELL however that I am riding that lame A$$ Wildcat club bus for $60. I SIR am NOT fair weather. I go to EVERY home game and a lot of the road games every year and will do so until the day I die. Fair weather fans piss me off.

How does a fan "man the "EFF" up". :geek: I think you're confused with the players job. This mormon talk around here is hilarious. Fans show up when teams win. Pretty simple. Montana doesn't get sellouts year in and out by going 5-6. They get sellouts by routinely making it to the NC game. Weber didn't even deserve the 5,500 hundred fans that showed up Saturday. You're not going to get substantial fan support around here by losing to Sac St., and Ewub early in the season. If you're yelling at the guys on this board you're probably yelling at the wrong people anyways, Right! So shut the "EFF" :mrgreen: up.
 
I respectfully disagree, skeeter...FANS show up to support their team no matter what. BAND WAGONERS show up only when someone wins. maybe ...just maybe some teams look at comments like all those who are ready to throw in the towel and figure: the community doesn't care so why should I?. Some of us DO care and show up every home game and as many road games as possible.
I know the team hasn't given up. They play every down. They may not execute every play perfectly( as evidenced in the W/L column) but they DO play every down. There is no quit in this team. is it too much to ask for "reciprocation in kind" ?

Plain and simple...if your team isn't performing then you aren't going to get fans out to the games. Traditionally, Ogden has only supported Weber when they are winning, thats a fact at every D1 school. If your team is the pits, the stands are empty. The problem with Ogden, is even if Weber is good the stands are usually empty (look at the Dee the past couple of years).

Everyone on this board can try to point a finger and say I'm the best fan because of Yadda Yadda Yadda. Thats total crap to do that. Its proof enough to me, at least, that we are all die-hard Weber State fans. Hell, we are members of this forum.

As for the team. Hey, it would be a lie to say that they are a great team. They have the potential to become great, but haven't lived up to it. They keep beating themselves. Heaven's they keep making the same mistakes over and over, but I think in the long run those mistakes will be corrected. My frustration is with the coaching staff. Hammer has got to find some imagination and not be so predictable with his play calling. On defense, you've got to do something to get pressure on the QB. Heaven's Mitchell isn't that good, but our D made him look invincible. If you have all the time in the world to get the ball off, then you completion percentage is going to explode. I think the D over-prepared for Taiwan and then weren't ready when he didn't play. Honestly, Weber's problems is a coaching issue. Mac is fine, its the OC and DC's that are killing the Cats. There is a lot of talent, but little experience in the coaching ranks thats why they are still in their positions.
