So much for kicking SUU's behind out the door... No surprise, one thing's obvious, Coach Rahe's Weber State teams lately are certainly perfecting the art of the season ending THUD ! But wait, maybe the Wildcats can turn it all around in Boise post season?? Maybe show us all that they are indeed not just average Big Sky level players winning some/losing some...with average (or maybe less than average) coaching?!

Let's see...but not hopeful here. BTW, Montana State hit a spectacular last second shot to beat No. Colorado with a great crowd & great celebration...guess it's the year of the Bobcats in BSC? Maybe so, we'll see. :-(

Yep, two more years left of the eight-year Randy Rahe Retirement Tour. Maybe a Go Fund Me to set up paying the last two years of Rahe’s contract can be established so Weber State can salvage some remnants of their program and make a move now as the University and AD don’t care anymore. Doubt it. Bet a first game exit is very likely in Boise.

One nice thing last night, the halftime banner retirement to honor Coach Dick Motta, one of Weber State's great coaches who was attending at 90 yrs. old. I was lucky & old enough to witness his final year with the Wildcats, one of the past glory highlights in Wildcat basketball history. The SE article said he was believed to be "the first non-major college coach hired directly to become a NBA head coach..." :coffee:

it is also amazing to realize a guy who didnt play basketball graduated from usu then got a job as a teacher/coach in grace idaho. then just a few yrs later he and one of his grace high players both went on to be great big sky coaches in their 20s and both nba coach of the year award winners before reaching 40. fyi grace isnt the big time. i think now it still only has 10 or 12 citizens.
