SUU HC Fired

So would it be considered ironic that on the day SUU fired another men's basketball coach, the most successful head coach in SUU's history (who was also fired there) was named Big Sky Conference Coach of the Year?

Robinson was living on borrowed time. It was only a matter of time. Bummer deal for him. When he first got hired, I thought SUU had found a real gem. He had a really strong first year and last year was decent, but after that, he never was able to get anything going. I wonder the direction SUU goes after this...maybe Eric Duft??

Who else in the conference gets the ax this year? Geving?? I think PSU keeps finishing just above the line. So, I bet Redface gets another reprieve and is back next year. Maybe BJ Hill? I guess we would have heard by now. Everyone else is safe.

I for one am not real sad to see SUU go in another direction. I hated Robinsons style of ball, if you cant compete with them then foul the crap outta them. :wall:
I would love to see Eric Duft finally get a shot at being HC and SUU could be a good fit for him. He is adamn good coach and has earned the shot at being a HC. :twocents:

:+1: I'd second that...Eric has served as assistant to Rahe for the duration and with Coach Rahe's tenure assured at Weber State, this might be a real good opportunity for him...hope SUU considers him.
