SUU vs. PSU

Not sure if anyone is watching while punishing their liver after our game. But SUU just scored with 90 seconds left and decided to go for 2 and the lead. Pass incomplete. Kicking onsides now.

While it seems inconceivable to even toy with the notion of us winning next week, for fun's sake... let's say we win, NAU wins, and Montana wins. You'd have 4 Big Sky champs. Anyone want to guess how the autobid would go down in that event?

I realize it's darn near comical to suggest our game with Portland State doesn't end in a blowout loss, but it is still conceivable that we could salvage something from this horrific end to the season. The team hasn't shown a glimmer of fire in many weeks, but if they are somehow capable of it, there is reason for it.

Montana has the head-to-head against us, obviously. As does NAU. So there is literally no way we get the autobid.

But I like to think we can come out fired about to get our lone true quality win against PSU, and who knows what happens after that?

I also would've thought we'd come out fired up for Military Day on our home field against NAU with our undefeated Big Sky record on the line. Didn't happen. Then I thought we'd come out fired up to continue our streak against Montana and lock us into a playoff bid. Nope, played even softer.

I just don't see any signs of a pulse with this team. I said it last week and I'll say it again, the coaches will need to earn their money this week. There is still something to play for, but does the team even care? It doesn't seem like it.

Haha I said "I'd LIKE to think.." Pretty hard to feel good about next week, agreed.

Meanwhile, in Palo Alto- Vernon Adams is doing Vernon Adams stuff to the number 7 team in the land.

A healthy VA is a sight to behold.
