Anybody else excited for this game? it will a big test for the team. suu has had no problem scoring, they just cant seem to stop anybody. it will be intersting to see the matchup between sorenson and our secondary

yea, excited but at the same time a little nervous. I don't want this great run we've had to end. The game being at home, I feel we have a slight advantage, but still the game has to be played.

Come on Jacks!! :thumb:

Nervous also. SUU is tougher than some Jacks fans think. They're a Jekyll-and-Hyde kind of team....which one shows up today in Flagstaff?

Wish I could have made the trip up to snowy Flagstaff for this one.

Go Jacks! Eyes on the prize.

good lord, this is the first quarter from hell. Everything going wrong for NAU. 2 interceptions, a safety, numerous penalties costing us yards..This one could get ugly if we don't play more diciplined.

NAU offense has gone to sleep, and that includes Bauman. Not good. SUU is running on all cylinders. We may get beat on this one. Not looking good. Somebody put a firecraker up the NAU O's ass so they can get going.

just as I had worried. our offense being so stagnant the last couple of games wasnt just a fluke. we cannot move the ball and we are in serious trouble right now

TOUCHDOWN NAU!!!

COME ON DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD. Please come through :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

good win SUU. A much deserved ass kicking for the way we played in the 1st half. There is no excuse for a team that is leading the conference to play so poorly in that first half and at home none the less. Hopefully this is the wake up call that NAU needs as they host Poly next week and hopefully look forward to the playoffs. A nice way to end the season for SUU. They deserve the win.

   and there you go souers. It does not get ANY EASIER to win the big sky than this. And you blew it. nau offense looked bad. bauman looked slow, grossart looked slow and both look a little banged up. ify umodu is personally responsible for 2 turnovers that led to scores. fumbled the ball, then had a pass hit him in the hands and fly up into the air to be intercepted. and our offense being stagnant was no fluke- we just cant move the ball like we could in the beginning of the season. and finally, what happens when you play bad teams all season? you are overrated. and we are absolutely overrated and have really had no challenges yet (except montana). when a decent team came to our home, we lost the game. great job jerome, the big sky was handed to you on a silver platter

Good stuff here, Lumberjacks fans. Honest insight, disappointment in an opportunity lost and a realization that the sky indeed is not falling.

NAU's offense has looked off key the last few weeks. Injuries in the trenches and Bauman is either lacking that next gear due or teams are figuring out how to scheme to slow down his game. The defense continues to impress but they can't win every game on their own.

Adversity has been overcome this season. I believe the players and coaches will be able to focus this week and get a share of the Big Sky conference championship next weekend.

Kudos to Southern Utah. This rivalry's gonna be fun!

grossart looked exceptionally slow. knee must be bothering him. really wish he could have gotten rid of the ball that last play. we seem to take many sacks on 4th down game ending situations.

I agree. If there ever was a chance to win the conference out right, this was it  . Everything was set for us to go undefeated at conf. These chances don't come often for NAU. This was it and they couldn't do it. It's not like SUU is a beast of a team. They are good, but not even top tier of the conference. The first quarter was the nail in the coffin for us. Will we ever see an opportunity like this to go undefeated come again within our lifetime? It's dissapointing, but like everyone else is saying, all is not lost. A win against Cal Poly is a MUST. Hope the offense can get it together by next week.

Go JACKS :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Nothing gets handed to anybody on a silver platter in the Big Sky.

SUU beat EWU when they were ranked #1 in the nation. Their record does not reflect the talent on that team.

Next years team will be better than this years team. Count on it.

Geez people we were bicked to finish 7th by one poll and 9th by another. We can come out of this co champs and go to the playoffs with a chance for a home game.

I can't see a whole lot to whine about.
ya jerome was served the big sky championship on a gold platter. you do know we are NOT a lock for the playoffs right? beating the teams we beat, then losing the last two at home against good teams does not look real good

Could things have been worse this season? Absolutely
Did we miss a golden oportunity? Absolutely

I don't think anybody is saying this is the end of the world. It's just hard to see such a golden opportunity to go undefeated and win the conference slip away like it did, specially because of the horrific play in the first half. These opportunities don't come often enough at NAU. It's hard to see it thrown away. Hope we can make it up next saturday :thumb: :thumb:
