SUU's foul fest

I am worried that SUU's style of play may lead to some injuries or an all out melee. I wonder how long it will take before some of the other teams have enough. I am all about playing tough, but I think they are crossing the line. Notice that they foul the most against the more athletic teams.

Fouls per conference game:
UND - 24
UNC - 15
NAU - 27
Sac St - 34
Weber - 33
ISU - 20
Montana - 33

I agree...but, and I'm in no way condoning the T-Birds tactics, it is keeping them in some games. I didn't watch the Grizz vs. SUU game last night, and so I don't know what to say about it, but if it was anything like our game against them in Cedar, then I expect there were a number of hard fouls and a lot of them at the end of the game. Yet, it did make the game a lot closer than it really was. I don't know what to say about the T-Birds. I think Robinson is quite aware that his players are over-matched athletically and the only way to keep them in the game is to put opposing teams on the foul line, and attempt to intimidate the opposition. Honestly, though, Robinson has a team that wasn't suppose to compete playing hard and competing. If he gets some talent, SUU could start turning things around. Regrettably for him, he has a number of seniors on his team. He is a good coach, now, is he a good recruiter?
