Taggart to FSU - Baldwin to Oregon

Baldwin stays as HC of Cal
Grinch stays WSU
I think I would take that to Vegas....speaking of ...do they have lines on coaching moments?

Everything involving Baldwin, Wilcox, and Taggart is reasonable... maybe you're hearing something around Spokane that I'm not picking up on. But Leach to UCF? That doesn't seem to hold water. I know UCF is a big school that has made some sizeable investments recently, but I can't imagine a team from the American Conference could match Washington State in $$$ or stature.

Leach to UCF - more likely to Tennessee
Taggerrt to Florida - probably
Wilcox to Oregon -makes sense, his alma mater
Baldwin stays as HC of Cal - if he can stand all of that liberalism :ohno:
Grinch stays WSU - agreed

You say that like it's a deterrent to staying in beautiful Berkeley???

In your scenario, his other option would be to follow Wilcox to Eugene, which isn't particularly known for their corporate bailouts, bedroom government, and giveaways to the rich- er- conservatism.

Why would Oregon hire Wilcox (Cal coach) after he has been a head coach at cal for 1 year? That makes little sense to me. If for some reason he did leave, I'd imagine Baldwin would have a shot at that Cal job.

Money or stature? WSU's athletic department has run a $10m deficit for four straight years, their university has a $30m deficit, and they've won 3 bowl games in 17 years. Last year, the Cougars managed to lose a bowl game to a Minnesota team missing 10 suspended players. Top to bottom, the PAC12 isn't much better than the American this year. Obviously, Leach isn't going to UCF, but he's not staying in Pullman because coaching the Cougars was a better job.

Leach is an unconventional guy, so leaving WSU for a non Power 5 (I really hate that term...) program wouldn't surprise me. But I hear he likes it there, so and Pullman is probably a good fit for the Pirate.

I just don't see Baldwin getting a job at a place like WSU (not only because the Wulf experiment likely doomed future EWU HC candidates), Oregon State, or similar major program until he's had success as a coordinator for a few years. Nevada wouldn't even hire him - and not because Baldwin is a bad coach, but he's just not (yet) the splashy hire that'll impress fickle boosters and fan bases.

Yes but you have to admit, it would be nice to be able to express your right to free speech!
