Actually, that is probably the only benefit of playing out in Hillsboro. The huge parking lot does make traditional tailgating possible. Things are so penned in at PGE Park that there really isn't much of a chance for individual tailgating. The old athletic director before Cleary would block off a road and have a big tailgate-fest there. Also, allowing alcohol sales inside PGE Park takes away from the notion of drinking before the game, as well as grabbing a few drinks at halftime.
