Talolo Limu-Jones Injury Status

He was scheduled to be on last nights coaches show so I am sure he made a comment on his condition then...but I have not listened to it.

Haven't had a listen to the coaches show yet, however he is not on the 2 deep. Roberson, Edwards, Ulm and Mason are however......

Excited to see Ulm. Glad to see Taras listed as a third option too. On D, just love to watch Joshua Jerome get off the block. He's playing like a rampaging beast ;-)

If he is a Rampaging Beast....YIKES :thumb:

During the post-game presser, Andrew Boston said Limu-Jones tweaked his ankle. He's had some ankle issues already this season. He may miss the upcoming game, but I don't think he's out for an extended period of time. That said, it's possible scans revealed more damage than previously thought, so who knows.

I'll say this, outside of the Bourne/Hill/Kupp team of 2016, this is probably the best group of receivers we've ever had. And that includes the year with Herd/Edwards/Kaufman (although it's certainly debatable). I think Boston/Limu-Jones/Chism/Edwards/Roberson is a freakin' bad ass unit.

Based this week's two deep from eags.com, he isn't listed. Saturday is still a trap gam, but it would be nice to have a game where they can rest their starters in the 4th as the schedule gets tougher the next month. Idaho, MSU, Weber, @UCD then close out @PSU

Still don't think this is a team that can make it to Frisco, but a home playoff game or two seems possible now vs a couple weeks ago

What have you seen this year that makes you specifically think they can’t make the national championship game? They seem to be better than the 2018 team in nearly every quantifiable metric and I don’t know that the field is any better this year. Seems like an odd prognostication to make after what we’ve seen so far.

It's always hard to predict how the FCS playoffs are going to shake out because we don't see a lot of the Midwest and East Coast action on TV. I'll only say this, we can go a long ways if we avoid MVC teams. For whatever reason, we just play awful against their style. Even conference also-ran Western Illinois made a life-or-death situation for us.

The other piece is, with 63 schollies, a couple injuries can totally derail a season. You need to stay on your feet to go the distance. For me, too early to tell where things may shake out. If someone said they think we're championship caliber, I couldn't argue against it... but if someone said we aren't, I couldn't argue against that either.

We’ve beaten quite a few MVC teams in the playoffs.

True. But we've lost to MVC teams more. And it isn't even all that close.

Any news?

He's listed on the 2-deep, and Eastern has stuck to those all season long. The coaches have never put a guy on there that didn't actually play except once, when Seth Harrison got tweaked during warm-ups.

I'd assume he plays...

I believe he was on the to deep last weekend and I saw him on the sidelines in jersey but no pads, only street clothes.

Yes, he was in street clothes. He obviously has a pissed off ankle and keeps aggravating it. After this week, next week is a bye and the team has MSU then Davis. I say rest him until the MSU game. The EAGS will win without him against Weber.

He will be playing tomorrow.

Good news, he may not be 100% but they will have to worry about him. Maybe they'll decoy him.
