Didn't know if it's been posted, but Caldwell Taylor has rejoined the team and will play this year. Taylor is a great athlete that will be a great asset on special teams and pass rush.

That is what he said, correct. However, I think he really didn't have his heart into playing football anymore. You know what they say, "Absence makes the heart grow fonder." I think he realized he can go to work and make money for the rest of his life... this is the only time he can play the game. :thumb: I'm glad he came back, he's a heck of an athlete.

that thing called life will always be there, but playing 'under the lights' is a only a sliver of time in our lives. Taylor was a constant threat on Special Teams when he played, and with the added depth on the D line, it's going to get pretty interesting this year, and down right 'nasty'.......GO 'CATS!!!

I would suspect that he will be playing both DE and the strongside or "Stud" linebacker again for us this year. He is kind of a hybrid type player. He is probably more suited to play linebacker because he lacks the bulk needed for DL. He's more of a pass-rush D-Lineman but his size makes him more of an LB.

Taylor will be playing the D End position. He returned to the team for the scholarship. I guess he found out that tuition is rather expensive when you pay for it your self. Obviously, he loves to play or he wouldn't have come back at all. The coaches are excited to have him on the field again, and the players I have talked too are also excited.

Isn't he kinda small to play DE? Wasn't he a LB two years ago? :?

He played DE 2 years ago, and will continue to play mostly DE.

Sorry boys, :bad: but he started 7 games at "Stud" or SLB for us 2 years ago. He was listed as a defensive end or "OE" because that was his original position. Injuries and experimentation led to him playing with the LBs, being a hybrid type player.
