Team and Boosters Arrive Safely

The team, staff, cheer squad and boosters arrived to the hotel safely tonight around 11 pm EST. The mood is light but businesslike, and everyone is in their rooms getting some rest. Walk throughs will be at 1 pm tomorrow afternoon; the boys can sleep in and have a brunch at 11 am.

Although the number of fans for Weber will be minimal at best, they will be a very spirited bunch to say the least.

WEBER STATE WEBER STATE GREAT GREAT GREAT !!!!

Glad they had a smooth trip. They arrived to some thunderstorms overnight, and the weather today calls for gradual clearing, but with high winds. Game day weather looks good, with clear skies, and wind subsiding. High around 56.

I watched the team as they practiced at Zable Stadium today at William and Mary College. It was a very spirited practice that started on a clear, brisk and windy afternoon. The team spirit is very good and fueled by an intense and positive coaching staff. After about 30 minutes of practice, Wildcat weather arrived with a hard downpour of rain that changed to sleet/hail. If anything, it appeared to fire up the team even more as they seemed to welcome the adverse weather. Somehow it felt like the Wildcat weather gave the team a feeling of a home away from home.

Zable Stadium - What an interesting stadium! It was built in 1933 and parts of the stadium look to be the original structure. The brick work was elegant and the press box was a classic. It was very old with poor sight lines for both the announcers and visiting coaches. The electrical wiring in the box looked like WW2 vintage and I wonder how it works at all. What a contrast to the press box at Stewart Stadium! In contrast, the field turf field and jumbotron scoreboard are state of the art. The weather is predicted to be 55-60 and sunny with minimal wind so it should be perfect for the Wildcat offense.

Can't wait until tomorow!!! Go Wildcats!!!

the team looks good, the weather didn't phase them at all, i think it bothered coach inoke more because he didn't want his cold to get worse. stadium is very quaint, but i agree, the coach's box is something out of WW 2 vintage....but the town is very historical, and so far so good. the field turf is in good condition, the stands are set back at least 20 yds from the players benches, so no Missoula action possible.

one thing, it did get pretty windy, and had an impact on the kicking game.....cannot wait for tomorrow. we will be few in number, but great in spirit!

WEBER STATE WEBER STATE GREAT GREAT GREAT

Praise and envy to all of you who made the trip. I heard the stadium is small but pretty cool. GO WILDCATS!

I was really hoping to send out an invitation for free room and board for a Weber State/Southern Illinois matchup. That was rough!

As it is, Ron McBride has lifted WSU fans' expectations so that's a credit to him. While we're losing some talent this year, it doesn't feel like we're starting over come next spring. The underclassmen and recruits are in place.
