Just got this e-mail from ISU sports information:

"POCATELLO, Idaho- Idaho State men's basketball coach Bill Evans has announced that Ethan Telfair will not travel or participate in the teams next three games associated with the Cancun Challenge. Evans will have no further comment on the matter."

It seems to never fail. If ISU is picked respectable in the preseason polls in either men's basketball or football, they flame out. Injuries or player unavailability. I can't remember it being much different.

I hope a potential 0-6 start doesn't decimate this years basketball team. Problems are mounting.

This ISU team still has the talent to compete, but the karma around the team right now is not good (injuries, suspensions, disqualifications). I could sense some real tension around the club in Logan last week. But I have faith in Bill and his staff that he'll get things righted, at least from a disciplinary perspective. There's not much he can do about injuries, of course.

Any word on if or when Telfair will be back with the team? Hell of a player, hope everything gets worked out.

The release said "three games" and I saw where he had a tweet about practice yesterday so I assume he is back for the Lamar game.
