I wanted to thank all the Ducks and Beavers fans who gave PSU a chance this year. Your attendance and support are appreciated, and we all sincerely hope you venture back next season as well.
I noticed that the biggest cheer at the PSU-MSU game was when they announced the Ohio St. score. At first, this was pretty depressing, since it says something about the interest in the game people were actually watching. But you know what, the Ducks are really performing this year (unlike PSU) and the stakes are still high for them, so good for Ducks fans who have something to really get excited about.
I met several fans at PGE this year who'd driven up from Eugene and Corvallis to see what the PSU experience was all about, and these fans give me hope that the casual sports fan can be captured and converted into a PSU supporter. There's still room on the bus, so "get on board!"
