The Bobcats pt. 1

This Wildcat fan still remembers a few years ago when MSU came into Ogden and won twice, if there is anything being in the Big Sky has taught us is you can never take anybody lightly or overlook anybody, Each team has the potential to beat any team on any given night, If Weber wants to beat MSU, then they need to take the Bobcats seriously, bring thier A-game and come ready for a Cat Fight, (which is usually what happens when these two teams match up).

MSU comes into the game 2-1 in conf on a two game winning streak, Beating Portland State at home and beating Idaho State in Pocafellow. Thier only conf loss so far is at home to a very good Eastern Washington team. We need to come out and play smart Wildcat basketball and not overlook MSU or we will get beat.

Lets go out there and get a victory against the Bobcats

Not sure if it will be a factor, but wing man Jamie Stewart is no longer on MSU... he was averaging about 20 minutes a game, 9 points per game and was a solid player for them. Decent scorer and passer, so his presence could be missed.

Didnt know that, do you know the reason he is no longer with the team?

Here's my question? Since this is the first home game after last weeks shooting are we at least doing a moment of silence or something? It would be wrong if we didn't!

At the womens game, Saturday, they did the moment of silence. I would expect them to do it again Thursday. They also should welcome all officers and their families to the game for free.

By the way, Jordan Pfau sang the NA at that game and did the best job of the year, so far. She is a great player and a great singer. Besides that, she is darn cute. For all of those women haters out there, all I can say is: If you haven't been to their events and don't know about them, you should probably keep your opinion to yourself. It just makes you look like a bitter, bigot. :ohno:

Not positive because MSU isn't really saying... closest I can find is this from the Bozeman Chronicle.

"I made some poor decisions, I made some poor choices over the year and I'm reaping the consequences right now," Stewart said Tuesday night. "I wish my team success in the future. They're my brothers and I wish them well. I look forward to spring practice."

Sounds like he had a bad case of the Franklin Sessions... :dunce:

Looks like the Cats need to be ready to limit Christian Moon. He has started the conference season on a tear. At the first of the season I really thought the bulk of MSU's success rested on Reid and Fall. Singleton is a dangerous PG who can make things happen. Huse just doesn't know how to use him effectively. I'm sorry, Huse has so much talent each year, but the Bobcats just don't play together. He doesn't know how to put the pieces of the puzzle into place. Yeah, Durham didn't have the talent, but he had teams. Huse doesn't have teams he has individuals. No matter, MSU is streaky and can get hot at anytime. They are extremely dangerous and I'm sure would love to knock off the Cats on their home floor. Weber cannot overlook them. Weber has to bring their A game tonight and play tough and tenacious defense. Don't let the Bobs run. Limit their transition game and make them beat you from inside. Great perimeter defense is needed.

MSU's other solid guy is Xavier Blount... when he is on, he can score 20-25. When he is not playing well, MSU has a tough time beating quality teams.

WSU vs Bobcats

G Lillard vs Blount= HUGE advantage WSU
G Bamforth vs Moon= advantage WSU
G J-Rich 5.4ppg vs Singleton 8.4ppg = Push
F Mahoney (3ppg & 5.6 rpg) vs Johnson (9ppg & 6rpg) = advantage MSU
C Tresnak (10ppg & 3rpg) vs Fall (7ppg & 5rpg)= advantage WSU

Bench: With Bull & Mook making an appearance in this game it should help WSU
ADVANTAGE WSU

Coaching: No contest. WSU HUGE advantage

Intangables: WSU has not lost at home yet this year

WSU by 12-16

nice to see bull back!!

audio is working but its messed up again where you hear alexander the stadium announcer which
is very annoying with double audio.

bull played 10 minutes. hopefully it helps toward the next game.

lillard is now the 5th alltime scorer in wsu history. he needed 9 to pass Jimmy Watts.

bam has scored 20 or more 4 times now. and has hit 3 3's 9 times in 16 games and 4 or more 7 times.
fulton had 11 pts and 13 BOARDS

i rmmeber a coaches lunch a few yrs ago rahe had a stat about a high percentage of teams lose the first home game after a road win prior. we didnt lose but it looked like that type of "trap" game. huge game on sat, 4-0 vs 5-0!
