The Future Of David Patten

I was so impressed by David Patten - his leadership, toughness, and talent. He was such a big part of the team's success this year and he'll be successful at whatever he chooses to do in the future.
I'd like to lobby for David to stay on as an assistant coach (or at least come back as an assistant after he finishes playing).

Email from David Patten to wsubball.com:

I am very excited for the upcoming WSU season. I know the team is going to do extremely well. The coaches and players that make up WSU basketball are some of the best people you could meet. Cheer them on at every game. They'll be sure to give you a show if you're there. Coach Rahe's home record after one season is stellar, and I'm sure he wants to keep it that way. So get out there Weber fans, and cheer your hearts out.

Also, just wanted to give you guys an update, I signed a one year contract to play for a team in Caceres, Spain. I leave August 14th, and am very excited to start a professional career.

Knock on wood for me!

I think I can speak for all WSU fans when I wish "Tthe General" our thanks for all he did at WSU. I hope everything goes well for him in Spain and he is able to make it to the big show. He plays hard and is a classy guy.

Not to disrespect Dave, but is it true he didn't graduate? I wish him the best of luck in Spain, and I wonder if he will try the running of the bulls?

I heard he graduated with a degree in Communications...

hey, general here... just want to let you guys know i did not graduate, however i plan to in the future... transfering twice and having the kind of year i did my first year at weber made things pretty tough, but, after a solid year off, i'll start to take some online classes and get it going again... i love the forum, glad you guys started it... go cats.

by the way... i think the one star and the new member tag are an insult... any way i can get some stars on here???

That's awesome that you joined the forum. Good luck playing over seas.

We'll see what we can do to get you more stars at least. You are, obviously, more like a 5-star general.

get it? 5-stars and you are general? i made that up me self. lol

General, keep us in touch with where you are headed. Good luck, hope to see you back at WSU sometime down the road at a game.

Rumor has it that The General David Patten is back in town and has enrolled in school to finish his degree. And that The General will also be a Graduate Assistant starting ASAP.

It is not a rumor. The General is in town, and will be a grad assistant for Coach Rahe. He will be part of the scout teams, and do whatever coach wants him to. Also, he is dating a member of the Volleyball team.
