I'm surprised to not see a thread about this game on here already. This game is tonight right? or did i get my weeks wrong again? SDSU is a damn good team and I think the snowy weather and the fact its on tv will chase away some fans.
Alas, I predict a WSU loss in this one. Hope I am wrong.

Kyndahl Hill is beginning to impress me and beginning to reach the potential we have seen in him. He is being more aggressive going to the basket, and his length is helping out on defense in this game. One of SDSU's players started off real hot, and now that Hill is on that guy, I feel a lot more confident Weber can stop him.

Just got back into town and tried watching the game on KJZZ but dish network has dropped them. Good to see Weber using the KJZZ broadcast as the video stream. :thumb: Very unimpressive crowd. Team looking good in first half. :thumb: Helps that SDSU is missing some key players.

This one is ripe for the pickings. SDSU came in straight from Florida on Sunday. We need to keep up the intensity. They have a hard time with Hill and Joel on the floor at the same time. Looks like Olds inside info is wrong again. Cody John is playing less than usual. Bovee we have a problem, where are the fans? This is a good team we are playing.

Where are the fans? It's three days till Christmas. 90 percent or better of the student body has gone home to be with their families and if it's snowing there's probably people that don't want to deal with the road conditions.

If Kyndahl Hill continues to play aggressively in addition to Bolomboy and Senglin continuing to do what they do, the Big Sky is screwed. All three scored over 20 tonight. I'd like Senglin to improve his free-throw shooting though. He has missed a lot of clutch ones this year. Late in this game against SDSU, Gittens got fouled instead of Senglin, and I was thankful for that, because Senglin was not shooting well from the line (1-4). Gittens is pretty calm and collected and hit them both.

On the radio post game show Coach said they told Hill to stop shooting jumpers and 3's and to stick to his strengths; get to the hole and rebound.

What a fun game to watch. It was nice to see us keep up the pace until we went into our prevent offense with 3 minutes to go. Baker, Braxton, Richardson & Gittens are the glue guys that step up when needed but facilitate the huge games from Bolomboy, Senglin and Hill. It is fun to watch this team when they click and when turnovers don't stop them.

That was a quality win over a very good team.

I hope that all of this 'big mans coach' crap can be put to bed now.

Also, I would like to make a comment about the officials. I hadn't seen any of them before and I wasn't sure what to expect. They did a great job. They were fair and consistent. Sure they missed a call here and there, but they were solid 95% of the time. I certainly hope that they are BSC refs. If they are, we are getting an upgrade. None of them showed egos and they went to the monitor when they should have. It was the best officiating I have seen in a long while. Please tell me that they will be BSC refs this season. :thumb: :thumb:

What was Garside saying about luck? If SDSU wasn't missing two starters and weren't traveling across the country for the past week this one's a 10+ point loss.

that was a fun game. i wish i could have been there to see it. what a good team sdsu is. we played the best basketball we had in 2015-16 and won by only 2. so i can only imagine a full strenght sdsu team which apparently is why they smoked us at their place.

the 2 starters or players missing from sdsu last night combine for 24.3 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 5.5 apg and 2.3 spg. The one even shoots 89% ft's, 55% fg, 40% 3fg. ouch.

Good win by the Cats! Awesome game by Hill! Looks like Randy finally told him to attack the hoop and stop worrying about shooting threes. He's a 4 who's got unbelievable speed and agility for a big.

It was a great game to be at. I wish we could have had better attendance, but oh well. I'm sure it hurt them to have two of their starters out, but that was still a very good team. Having been at the games in Florida, and at the YBU game, I would say that is the best team we have played thus far, even without the two starters. They are extremely aggressive defenders and rebounders. They got called for a lot of fouls, many in the last few minutes, but they could have been called for many more. I would like to see our team get a bit more aggressive like that. We just shot the lights out. Our turn overs are still a concern and may be all year long. Blocked shots and our bench proved to be the difference in that game. That is a good game to have prior to a little Christmas break.

Ready or not, here we come BSC. :coffee:

Completely disagree

SDSU is deep, their bench & reserves stepped up & filled in.

We should have won by double digits, completely controlled the 2nd half. If we weren't up by 10 or 12 it sure felt like we were even when up by 5 or 6. Nate Wolters could have been on the floor for the rabbits, SDSU was not going to win last night no matter who was on the floor.

Very fun game to watch, actually surprised there were as many in attendance with the roads & timing of the storm prior to tipoff. I love guys complaining about attendance who weren't there. :dunce: :tothehand:

I was there and I know the roads weren't great but that was one of the fastest paced Weber games I have seen in a long time. We are tough to stop when three players are clicking and having great games.

Please send the SDSU coach and AD chocolates, praise their team, praise their facilities and lets do another home and home with them next year.

Watched it on KJZZ and you forgot to put "Pre-Christmas honey do's" on the list of why people weren't there. KJZZ and wrapping presents being the best compromise I could come up with.

Just a couple of things I noticed. Bolomboy is a shy kid. I've talked with others who have classes with him and he is pretty quiet on campus. His demeanor in games often reflects that personality. Not on Tuesday. He was breathing fire. You hear talk of his NBA potential, but I think he is starting to believe in himself at a new level. Hill had a new look in his eyes as well. Confidence was just oozing from those two.

Baker was very good in the second half. Started going to the inside and got a couple of push-up buckets from the inside. At this point he might be struggling with the transition from JC to D1 -- quicker, more athletic players than he faced last year. He is not the most athletic kid, but he's smart and he sees the floor so well. Even then Rahe inserted Richardson back in the lineup with about 5 minutes left in the game. In the past Rahe would have ridden Baker into the ground because he was playing well. I also thought that Gittens was much more under control. He seemed tempted to take the ball to the basket a couple of times and clearly backed away from the thought.

Our rotation and the offense we got from the #3 spot was much better with Richardson, Gittens and Baker all contributing in stretches (a combined 22 points). Obviously, with my complaints on the board, I loved Rahe's renewed confidence in his whole team. I think that also showed in the enthusiasm they had from the bench as they urged their teammates on. Everyone was being given a chance to contribute. Really fun game to watch.
