The New Logo?

I didn't see anything that could look good on a football helmet. Are we going to a solid purple helmet? Not bad, in my opinion, not great either. At least Athletics is trying.

10 bucks the Wildcat with the claws is going on our football helmets


I think they look alright, I actually like the one With the Wildcat w/claws on the black background

However, I still like the Wildcat in the shield logo over any of those.

This would work well on a helmet. Simple and easy to read.
 
SERIOUSLY PEOPLE!! These logos look awful. Why are we trying to put lipstick on a pig? If you step in poop you call it poop not roses, then why are we all trying to say these look good when they don't. What a high school copies our logo, so instead of making them change, we change? Huh? Weber best be getting a lot of $$$ from someone for these awful, ugly, absolutely embarrassing logos.

As for the helmets, save our team some pride and respect. Don't put any of these hideous logos on our uniforms or helmets. These logos are enough for any player to throw a game so they wouldn't be highlighted or that the players wouldn't be associated with them. HELL!!! No originality or creativity.

Never said it was a logo, but it's part of the new branding. And nothing says you have to put a "logo" on the helmet. When it comes to helmets, simple is usually better (see Utah, BYU, USU, Notre Dame, UCLA, Washington, Oregon, Cal, Stanford, etc.)

While not great, the new cat head is still better than the old shield logo, imo.

Agreed. These are amateurish and are NOT marketable. In this day of age, a logo should be visually striking and cutting edge.

Seriously, do a Google image search for "wildcat clipart." The new logo looks horribly similar to some of the results. On the other hand, there are results which are better than the new logos.

Hell, Heth-Washington Elementary School in Indiana has a better "claw" logo.

As Charles Barkley would say, "Terrible. Just turrible..." We took an opportunity to do something new and fresh and continued throwing out tacky, overthought crap. Keep it simple, Jerry. Way to vomit a hundred different colors and elements into one logo that you wouldn't be able to recognize from 10 feet away. :ohno:
 
I like the new logos and all the options available, however I would like to see a logo that just reads weber instead of weber state.
 
Ok, this is our new logo, so lets just get on with our lives.

I like the Wildcat w/claws logo, and I think Weber should put that logo on midcourt of the Dee if we are in fact going to change it, it would bring back the nostalgia of the Big Cat with the claws on the midcourt, and then put the same logo on midfield of Stewart Stadium
 
I'm with you WILDCAT. I think it would look great in both places. Copywright all of it and then go after anyone who infringes, if that hasn't already been done.

Still not too thrilled with them. The cat with claws isn't horrible, not great, but this logo here makes it look like they "mushed" together the cat/claws clipart with the "WSU" clipart. It would look better if the "WSU" was better incorporated into the actual logo. Make the claws come through the "W" and the "U," or something to that effect.

I could stomach that. I still think it would be best to, since I'm not a fan at all of any of the new logos, to have the helmets solid purple. If they must put anything on them, put the flaming W on the sides. I can't believe I think that would be the best option.

Are the home unis going to stay the same? Will they stay black or are they going back to being purple? Either way, I'd just like to see the Cats get Ws in them.
