• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

The Sacramento Bee Idaho State game

I was looking in the Sacramento Bee today in the "On Air" section. The Sac State basketball game today and it is not listed. Can someone please tell me why that game is not listed? Is this game going to be on the radio? If so, what station?

You can try KHAI 950 in Auburn, I know they carry some games. The games are on Big Sky TV and audio streamed at http://www.hornetsports.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. The "Hornet Radio Network" is a joke for both football and basketball. Last year it was a underpowered religious station that you couldn't hear without interference even at the stadium. This year it has been a FM station in Shingle Springs and KHAI in Auburn for football and a partial basketball schedule on KHAI for basketball. If they really want to promote the Hornet brand in Sacramento they need to get a "real" Sacramento based station with good coverage. If they can add smaller outlying stations all the better, but they need to solidly cover Sacramento first.

Football signed a radio contract with Classic 93.1 FM prior to last season. As GL stated, hoops is only on hornetsports for audio. All hoops home games and BSC games are free on Big Sky TV. Starting next season, Root Sports will have the TV contract for BSC football and some games may be available via that outlet. I also think Root Sports will be televising some hoops games as well but that may not impact the Hornets much. All non-Root Sports telecasts will still be available via BSTV.

Here is a thread about the TV deal:
