Wofford barely beats at 4-5 Samford team and jumps us in the ratings?? That's such crap. I guess it wasn't a good week to sit idle.

At least next week either App State or Wofford will lose. We need to crack that top four and get a seed game...

The top five teams in the bracket are seeded (and while the polls are a factor they're not the determining factor), but I agree we need to take care of business and not let any doubts remain in the selection committee's deliberations.

To be fair, I'm ok with where we're at. It was good to have the statement game against PSU, but with shakey wins against UNC, NAU, and Sac, it's hard for me to rationalize us being any higher up than where we're at.

But like was mentioned last week, I don't care about these polls until we take care of business against SUU and ISU, and I don't think the team should, either. SUU might be the best 6-4 team in the country. They have 2 losses against FBS (28-20 to Wyoming and 16-11 against SJSU), plus respectable losses to NAU and Texas State which are both decent teams. They are on a 5 game winning streak. They will undoubtedly be jacked about the prospect of giving a future conference member a loss and knocking us out of position to get a seed in the play-offs. It's going to be another one where we better bring our A game to win it.

I know it's hard not to get excited about the prospects of winning a conference championship and a possible seed/play-off game at home, but hopefully the players won't get too wrapped up in all of that and just focus on the task at hand. Like I've been saying all year.........one game at a time.

No doubt we want a seed going into the playoffs so let's finish this season out and prepare for the second season. I do think it's wierd that MSU has the same record and they beat us pretty good yet are ranked below us...that's polls for you.
