The sting still hurts but...

After taking couple days to cool off and think about the progression of our football program, I came up with the conclusion that we have really turned the tables on who we are vs who we used to be. I can see that instead of taking 1 step forward and 2 steps back like we have done historically, we are taking 2 steps forward and 1 step back...this is HUGE. I don't want to completely disregard our awful performance this past weekend, but in the big picture, we are making huge strides to be in the top 3 of the big sky and a presence in the FCS! A new AD, a few key players and we are a legit contender. I've been a bengal fan for quite some time and have been with them through thick and thin and will continue to do so!

GO BENGALS!!

Completely agree with you. Even the best of them have off days and we couldn't get any momentum going on Saturday to turn the tables. In games like this, it could only take one play for a huge shift, that just didn't happen. Close that book and now it's all about Weber!! We've got to come out guns blazing this weekend and I know our team is going to play with some redemption and anger.

Overall the team has progressed so much in the last 2 years that no matter what, there's been improvement and this staff and the players have shown they can win and be competitors at the top of Big Sky. Our AD is awesome and she knows how to generate buzz, keep people engaged and will do what it takes for ISU to succeed. One loss shouldn't deter anyone from the fact that ISU is headed in the right direction. This team has already far surpassed expectations this year and I'm looking forward to this weekend and next year! Go ISU and BEAT WEBER!!

Do you think Some other players should be taking kick off returns and punt returns? I do not recall seeing any kickoffs returns or punt returns going for long yards or TD's the past couple of seasons. To me, we need a game breaker on returns. Maybe, next season.

For so many years ISU has been the pushover team that's occasionally they could surprise other teams, at home with some "competition" and make it a close game. Last season Coach Phen got the most out of the team and competed in almost every conference game, then surprised Nevada. That Nevada win struck a cord that showed up all season this year. Every team preped for ISU differently than they have in the last decade. There was hope that every team could beat us but also doubt too.
Next season will be even different. The program has changed.
Now like Phen said ISU is hunted. ISU will be a team to beat. The only question now is can Phen and his staff, keep the changes happening? The questions shouldn't be do we have the wrong returners or QB, or defensive scheme. That's what a losing program asks.
Every aspect of the team can improve from this year, there is some glimmer of talented athletes on offense. Defense obviously needs the most help. Obviously.

I want to know what is Phen going to do to keep the ball rolling?
