The Ultimate Compliment to Mike Kramer

With Montana now in the market for a football coach in the wake of Mick Delaney's pending "retirement," some e-Grizzers are actually promoting Mike Kramer for the job. I think that's the ultimate compliment to the job Mike's done here.

Kramer SHOULD and WILL win the Big Sky coach of the Year award, and it should be unanimous. The Big Human has done a hell of a job in his short time in Pocatello. Hopefully for the Bengals sake, he will stay there for 5+ more years.

Given the opportunity ISU gave Mike when no one else would, I strongly think he'll end his coaching career in Pocatello.

Mike Kramer is the best coach the Big Sky has ever produced. It took a lot for me to come back to this message board but the need to voice my support for Mike Kramer to retire a bengal is why I have returned. When Tingey moves on then Mike needs to become the athletic director here much like a Chris Ault or Dick Zornes was to their schools. He is passionate about everything in life and has been successful in all he has done. Think how all of you would of responded if your lively hood was ripped away like his was. He went from the lowest of lows to an incredible high this season knowing he resurrected the worst football program in conference history. I dont think people understand how close this football program and thus our affiliation with the Big Sky Conference was to being eliminated. He was quite simply the last best hope for Idaho State and he has delivered a complete overhaul of a formerly dying entity. I hope he remains a Bengal.

I hope Kramer is just getting started here. I hope he is what he says he is and stays the face of ISU football. Let's hope he gets what he deserves financially.

Thanks for the post Knot. Kramer was the right man for the job. I just hope that he wants to be a Bengal long term. He said he was a Bengal for life when signing the contract extension. However on the coaches show a few weeks ago when Jerry brought up rumors about coaching at other schools...well coach K didn't exactly dispel any rumors. I hope he is a long term solution for Idaho State and I would love to see him be the AD down the road.
