This board is dead!

See the board isn't dead. I can stir the pot when needed.

We are 1-6 against MSU, but we are at home. So I give us the 3 point advantage.

Hornets 31*
MSU 28

*Mulligan statement: unless we don't show up again and get blasted 48-16.

6,485 attendance

I want consistency. If we have to lose, do it with a close score. Blowouts are ugly and shows something isn't working correctly.

How does Ellerson at Cal Poly do it? I think he went 10-1 in his second year. 6-5 in his first, and he maintains a winning program.

Yeah but look at who Cal Poly plays? If they were in the Big Sky, they would be about a 6-5, 7-4 type team.

Ranked 3rd in FCS
UC Davis-multiple wins (blowouts)
San Diego State-W
@ Montana-W
South Dakota State(ranked)-W
UTEP-W
They seem to do very well against BSC competition

I'd love it if we were a 6-5, 7-4 team year in and out

Here is how I see us the rest of the year....

MSU-W
EWU-L
davis-L
UNC-toss up
ISU-W

Gordon was at practice today practicing. He's not off the team. Maybe one should not jump to conclusions about grades and things of that nature. Also if you have a problem with the coaching staff keep it to yourself because I ha e not seen once how the coaches have lost a game. The kids lose it themselves, they just don't know how to win yet. By the way nice screen name hornet supperior. It doesn't at all sound like you THINK your better than everyone else. Keep your negative comments to yourself or go elsewhere. The people here are here to support the hornets not talk trash. Let me know how Sperbeck does after they contend for a big sky championship next year.

THR - You posted Gordon was kicked off the team. Today he was at practice! Where is all this information coming from? What a circus. However, if he's back, that's great news. He's developing each week and is needed for our future success.
It's definitely hard when your team loses. The tension on this thread is so thick you can cut it with a knife. I too, feel our expectations are not being met. What is the missing ingredient? Also, don't blame it on injuries. Everyone is dealing with them at this point in the season. I believe a convincing WIN this week will loosen us up. GO GET IT DONE HORNETS!

Sac 38
Kitty's 17

Deionte Gordon was kicked off the team on Wednesday. This is VERY true and it DID happen. Yes, he did have permission to come back on Thursday because he was then told that the final decision on his playing future this season would be made on Saturday before the game. I posted all this in the original thread guys. This is the game thread so I'm trying not to shift the scope, but so everyone can know.

Wednesday: Gordon was kicked.

Thursday: Brought back because punishment/decision is pending.

Saturday: As of now, if he plays, then the decision will have been in his favor.

Yes, there are legalities surrounding this.

I am superior; been watching this losing far to long. Tisdale won CBHS, Sac City, Nevada and now Sierra, so I guess he's not the right fit. Do we want wins or tailgates? Go Hornets.

Is it possible to have both??? I say YES!!!!!!!

I think by using tailgates he meant a loss, not the actual act of tailgating.

Umm Yeah, I got that. Just a little play on words.

Went to the game today with high expectations considering MSU is not very good. What I saw today made me ill; so ill that I have spent this evening drinking soda pop instead of cold ale. Mr. Hornet Master, I hope you and your buddies are happy with who does fit(losing with this hire) instead of WINNING with a winner. I have bled Green and Gold for 37 yearsbut it is getting difficult to watch the direction this football program is headed. Go Hornets.

The players beat themselves yesterday, pure and simple. The offensive line was absolutely horrible. Horrible! They could not give Smith anytime the find the receivers, who by that time were too covered by MSU's nickel package. Taylor (our center), what was that!! Every time in the gun, it was always a bad snap and threw Smith off his rhythm.

Our D played pretty well despite giving them a short field twice and then the blocked punt. Take those three things away and its a different ballgame.

I can't agree more. The team looked flat although they managed to gather a little more emotion in the second half. I was wondering about all the high snaps, Smith had his hands full controling them all day and they may have something to do with the blocked punt for the td in the end zone. The high snaps along with the lack of pass protection made added up to a pretty had day for Smith. Montana State is no world beater but they did enough to walk away with a win. If we would have played like that against Weber or even Portland State we would have got killed. Lets hope we can recover and get it back on track, there is still a lot of ball to be played this season.
