This class may be in big trouble.

Color me officially concerned. Two commitments by May 1st is not impressive. If ISU does not find some JC scoring this team could slide backwards offensively.

Thoughts?

We've eventually got to get the funds needed to get a new gym. There's a pretty good ballplayer who narrowed his choices down to ISU, Portland and Seattle Pacific. And he liked Poky and everything, but the deciding factor was that Seattle has a gym and we don't. If a school like SUU can have a gym then we should be able to.

In my view, recruiting to Pocatello and ISU is the toughest job in the Big Sky Conference. For a whole number of reasons that have been enumerated here many times. And lousy facilities is probably near the top of the list. On the other hand, nobody in the Big Sky has built a new basketball arena since Weber in the 1970s, unless you count Southern Utah. If Sac State and Portland State ever raise the money to carry out their respective building plans, those two schools could be consistent powers in the league, especially given their locality. But raising the money is always the problem, isn't it?
