Up For Improvement on the Journal Sports Blog is calling for the ISU Women's team to forfeit the season. He feels that 8 players is not enough and that ISU would be better off quitting.

The entire team, coaches and athletes, have no intention of even thinking about forfeiting. This guy, whoever he/she/it is, has NO right to talk about ISU. He crucifies us when we lose, will either barely acknowledge a win (or find something in it to bitch about) and generally expresses disdain for Idaho State.

Forfeit the season?! Conference standings are what matter right now... The conference schedule is going down the back stretch and they were one point away on Saturday from 3rd place! As it is, they are 5th out of 9 and two of the teams ahead of them are teams they have beaten!

Fact is, they didn't play their best basketball Saturday and it dropped them to 5th place.

Forfeit? You're kidding. Right? He'd might as well say QUIT!

No way. This team has been thru so much this year. Challenge after challenge. Road block after road block. No one said it would be easy. These players have put in the time, hours of sweat and dedication to quit? There are players on this team whose college careers are over at the end of the season. Give up? That's no way to finish your season or your career. Quit? That'd be a fine example to the rest of the athletic program, to the fans.

I'd tell that guy to go right ahead and quit. Quitters = Losers. He can connect the dots. There's no doubt about that! But not me. The game ain't over 'til the final buzzer. Until then, anything can happen. I'm in for duration... for the team. Go Bengals! Go!

What this team needs is a packed Reed Gym for these last three home games. What this team needs to have fans display some heart of their own and make Reed Gym an impossible place for the visiting teams to play.
