Everybody knows the attendance figures reported for NCAA basketball games are largely WAGS. Usually the SID or somebody in the Athletic Department takes the total number of season tickets, adds in a guess for the number of cheerleaders, table helpers and media, then scans the arena and comes up with a "number." But I'm guessing at last night's Cal Northridge-Portland State game in Portland that the "official" attendance figure offered up was pretty darn close to nose-for-nose accurate: 412.
